Beautiful Hotel On The Beach!!
Reviewed 3 days ago

I haven't been out to the South Bay area in about 15 years, and when I did visit, I always stayed up in Manhattan Beach. I was all set to book one of my past hotels, but I decided to see what was available in Hermosa Beach.

Boy, am I glad I did!!! From the front desk, to housekeeping, to the valet staff, everyone was SO nice and accommodating. The facility itself is beautiful and SPOTLESS...I was able to book an Ocean View Suite and woke up to gorgeous blue skies every day. The breakfast area was very quaint with both indoor and outdoor seating, but I usually went back to my room and enjoyed breakfast on my ocean view deck. Beach chairs and towels are available and MUCH appreciated, and there are beach toys for the kids.

I cannot say enough about this place...it's simply fantastic!!! I've already booked an Ocean Front Suite for my return trip!!

This is the best kept secret in the area. Beautiful, clean, inviting hotel. I usually prefer to stay at the large hotel chains, but this one is a keeper. Great location, wonder hotel staff, delicious continental breakfast!!

Ok but needs a refurbishment

Very good location right near the beach, bed was quite uncomfortable and in need of replacement, I was surprised they didn't offer twin beds, travelling with friends and family is a bit difficult if only king bed supplied with a very uncomfortable pull out couch. Outside furniture on balcony is very uncomfortable too

Beach Getaway...yay!

The hotel is small and intimate. The vibe is a mix of relaxation and energy. The strand is directly outside the hotel and it is bustling with walkers, joggers, roller bladers, cruise bikers and cyclists. There are several volleyball sand courts and they are heavily used. There are restaurants and shopping a few blocks away.

The staff from valet to registration were hospitable, friendly and helpful.

We stayed in an ocean front room and I found it to be a blessing and a curse. It's great being able to have the ocean in right outside your room, but it comes with the price of noise. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to opt for an interior room further away from the strand as any sound travels as if it is happening at the foot of your bed. Mind you there are several bars a stone's throw from the hotel and the 2am crowd can be a little noisy. Or you can just close the door.

The hotel provides beach towels, sand toys and chairs for use and it is easily accessible and convenient.

There are several options for food w/in walking distance. The hotel provides a continental breakfast and outdoor tables for hotel guests only. We picked up breakfast at a local spot and brought it back to outdoor seating area.

Overall, it was a little pricey, but a nice place to stay and will probably be our new hotel when visiting the beach.

Amazing in every way

This hotel has some of the best sea views anywhere. The rooms are a great size with a small kitchen area(enough to make a small dinner if you want), the staff are fantastic very friendly and helpful. The parking is a bit steep at $27 per night but I guess that's on par with the area. The free breakfast is OK but a few more healthy options would be nice. If you are looking for a long weekend away this is the hotel for you
