How to Get There
It's a beautiful well maintained and clean hotel with very friendly staff. I had a billing dispute that had to be elevated to management to get corrected. Westin was exceptionally and surprisingly responsive to my issue and credited me back for the dispute. This is why I continue to utilize SPG properties.
Hotel is at good location and outside and inside decor is very good . Breakfast is same everyday and nothing for vegetarians and not even offered to make something. Rooms are ok and nothing great while pillows are overstuffed and too hard so could not sleep well and bed is also not comfortable and uneven.
Hotel lacks in customer focus because even after complaint there was casual attitude about lost item from room and billing issues.
Oh my goodness...we were so delighted to receive a surprise fruit basket and bottle of champagne from Kobe James at the Westin! We stayed there one night because I was walking the Long Beach Marathon the following day. We asked for a late checkout so that I could take an ice bath after the marathon before driving home. Our request was granted without any hassle and then the gift arrived at our room a little while later with a gracious note of good wishes for the marathon. The bed was so comfortable...like sleeping on a cloud. We will stay there again sometime.
My friends and I needed a room to sleep in after a music fest near the Queen Mary and we ended up booking one here. It was great, as we expected. The concierge level was da bomb! Service overall was excellent. Great beds, linens, pillows, water pressure... I would most definitely stay here again.
Our room was not completely satisfactory. The lighting was inadequate. It was generally dark in the evening. The beds were atrocious! They haven't been rotated in a long time and had developed soft spots, holes that you would sink into like quicksand. The Green program was not adequately explained and we went one day without any service of any kind except for emptying the trash (thank goodness). There was also a real lack of shelf space and drawers and outlets. Not what we had come to expect. The beds were the worst part especially for a 3 night stay. Also floor sweeping was subpar as there were toenail clippings in the carpet and the bathroom.
