How to Get There
My company chose Hotel Maya for a conference venue. The property itself is great. It is spacious and well kept. I should also mention that the catered lunch provided by the hotel was amazing.
The rooms, on the other hand, leaves something to be desired. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The walls and furniture had signs of age and wear. It wasn’t a terrible room experience, just not up to what I’d expect from a Hilton property.
Recently stayed here for my wedding as wife’s request. Let me tell you from the first moment Sigi said hi to his last goodbye he was such a tremendous amount of help and hospitality! Kristin at the front desk exemplified the Hilton standard we look forward to at each and every stay. She guided me through a little confusion with our rooms and assured us there was nothing to worry about and she handled it all like a pro! Michael the bartender at Fuego even recognized us from a week or so prior and congratulated us on our celebration. He was genuine and sweet and makes the best Spicy strawberry Basil drink ever! All in all this is a place to stay, from the hospitality to the amazing rooms you will not be disappointed
One star is too much for by far the worst experience . Arrived at the hotel maya on Saturday nov 2 at 11:30 pm after a horribly long day and an accident that involved spraining my ankle , to find that my room was no longer available. I received no call or email to warn me . I prepaid in advance through a deal on travelzoo. Their only solution was to send me to another doubletree 20 miles away for the night . Never before has this happened to me . I took a video of the entire incident and will make sure the matter escalates to the appropriate entity.
