Nestled in a beautiful Garden

Lovely hotel. Beautiful gardens, birds and pathways covering the property. Only negative is the the rooms are very dark. Our room no. 65 had dark brown walls. In order to read you had to turn on every light. Other than that our stay was enjoyable.

Beautiful & Relaxing

Wine & Roses is a lovely, relaxing oasis in the heart of Lodi. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are like cottages with updated decor and pleasant patios or decks. The spa is a must while staying there. I had a facial and pedicure and took advantage of the hot tub while lounging between treatments. There is also the Lodi Wine & Visitor Center on-site. There you can get discounted wine tasting and recommendations on top wineries to visit during your stay.
W & R is a must stay. I plan to stay there again on future visits.

A lovely surprise in Lodi
Reviewed 1 month ago

The hotel was recommended to me when I had a business trip to the Stockton area. When you get off the freeway you drive about 4 miles through rural vineyards on a two lane road before arriving at the property. It is a beautiful and peaceful oasis in the middle of downtown Lodi. The grounds are wonderfully maintained and the service is excellent. And the restaurant food quality, which I only experienced via room service was outstanding! I only have 3 minor complaints/suggestions....first, you need screens on the windows. I wanted to enjoy the evening air but upon opening the window a mosquito flew in my room in less than 5 minutes..second,
I am a fan of feather pillows but the feathers kept poking through the pillow cases making them less than comfortable. Third, since there are no elevators on property make sure someone is around 24/7 to take bags upstairs to rooms on the 2nd floor. I had a 50 lb bag and was trying to lug it upstairs when a kind guest offered to help me...other than these 3 things it was a perfect stay and I would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Quiet/Romantic but Check groupon for price deals or find a good price

Check Groupon for price deals or find a good price at another site but do not pay more than $20 over the price for a room at the Hampton. The rooms at the wine & roses are large, quiet and well decorated. However, they lack a microwave, can't re-heat that coffee, they use pod style coffee makers vs K cup style. If the room has a spa tunb it will be quite tall to step into and out of, the shower heads are poor, would suggest they install better shower heads or hand held showers. The grounds and quiet setting make this a pleasant and somewhat romantic stay. TVs are small for the room size. There are three locations (cages) with birds on display (parrots, cockatiels). Staff is pleasant. Rooms have a patio sitting area but the views are of paths between the buildings.

The lodi wine visitor center is on site. If you want to taste wine without the worry of a drive it is worth your time.

Small town gem
Reviewed 2 months ago

Lodi is a small town, but with lots to do, especially if you like local wines, as the area has many excellent wineries with wide open spaces, no traffic and no crowds. Wine and Roses is a delightful hotel in a garden setting, with large rooms and patios looking out on lush gardens with friendly cockatoos, cockatiels, and even colorful parrots. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpul, the rooms quite comfortable and well equipted, and the restaurant and bar are excellent. They even have nightly entertainment in the lounge. Everything abou tthe stay was top notch. We visited several local wineries, indulged the region^s superb Zinfindel, for a overall very pleasant and relaxed stay. I highly recommend Wine and Roses and visiting the Lodi wine region.
