How to Get There
Best Chef in No. California!Had my husband's 60th B-Day party at Towne House Restaurant. Everyone loved the food, ambiance, hotel, bar, spa and breakfast the next day! It was sensational and such fun!
We needed a place to spend the night mid-way of driving the full length of California and were pleasantly surprised at the beauty and quality of this property. Our favorite part? Local musicians performing in the lounge.
This is the second time over two years the wife and I and friends have stayed at the Wine and Roses and it is consistently one of our favorite hotels. We recently were guests for two consecutive nights.
I don't really understand the negative comments about the rooms...they are fine; clean, plenty of room, roomy bathroom, nice balcony with table and chairs and we absolutely love the grounds. We were on the corner near the Macaw cage and really enjoy hearing the birds yapping and whistling at people strolling by.
The restaurant is excellent; although, if I had to make one suggestion it is that the menu is a little sparce. If you do not like the eggplant dish or the fish selections, you only have about three other choices. But the dinners are wonderful and the service is first rate.
One of the most fun features of dinner is having an after dinner drink in the lounge area and listening to Kim, the wonderful pianist who seems to know every song ever written, especially current broadway numbrers. Kim is just wonderful and makes you feel like she is playing just for you in her home. And, there are other locals who also jump in and play and sing as well. Very fun place to spend the evening.
Overall, this hotel is a lot of fun...worth the money, and we will return.
We have visited the wine tasting visitors center several, times and wondered what was behind the building. Oh my goodness what a delightful, surprise. It was a lush beautiful garden oasis. The rooms was very nice with a comfy bed, thick white towels a powerful shower head and plenty of room for two people to move around. We had both dinner and breakfast at the on site restaurant and both were excellent. The staff are friendly and very helpful
I enjoyed my stay at the Wine and Roses Hotel. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. I had a facial at the spa and it was the MOST RELAXING facial I have ever received. My face is STILL glowing 2 days later. The rooms were nice, nothing fancy, the balcony was nice overlooking the grounds.
All in all it was a great stay. We were treated nicely by everyone and all our needs were met!
