How to Get There
Stayed here on a Friday for a business meeting in the area. This hotel is near the freeway and not far from Pacific Commons where they have restaurants and some retail stores. We booked this hotel since it is convenient for us to get to our appointment the next day and the rate was under $100 for that Friday night. I know the rates for this particular hotel is in the $300 and up during weekdays since a lot of the businesses in the area book their employees at the Marriott. I used to work in the area and familiar with the rates whenever my out of state co-workers stayed there. Customer service is great. Check in and check out was seamless.
Well to start, this Marriott property is long over due for a renovation. The hotel has not changed a lot from the last time I was here, about 3 years ago. Bedding and amenities in room were up to par but did notice how old the interior was. The front desk clerk who checked me in was personable and gave great service! Parking is a mega plus since it is complementary, had to point out since majority of full service hotels charge for parking. During our stay, there was a fire alarm that went off late at night. I called the front desk to see what was happening and was told it was just a test? Odd to have a test so late at night and not be notified during our stay... so that was a bit annoying. I woke up scared thinking the worst and especially with how times have been. There really should be more communication if indeed it was a test. Also, the alarm is through an intercom which made it even more creepy and scary. The pantry was a bit disappointing as there was limited options available (all candy/junk and cold plain sandwiches). I've stayed at other Marriott properties with a great selection! Overall hotel was just okay and like a typical older Marriott.
Attended a conference here and found everything comfortable, staff agreeable, great locale for a small conference. Location is in the middle of nowhere, but then the entire valley is pretty much nowhere.
