How to Get There
The hotel is not only located in an area where there are tons of restaurants (and easy access to the highway), the property is lovely and charming and has a super on-site restaurant. Most amazing of all was the exceptional customer service. The entire staff was exemplary and took great care of us. We have two small children who were welcomed and made to feel comfortable. The staff members that we interacted with who were most outstanding were Ron (front desk) and Lyn. Both so lovely and kind.
I love this hotel. It’s like a little escape to Europe meets old Hollywood sensibility. The hotel is intimate, great nightly entertainment and the rooms are so gorgeously decorated that you’ll want stay in and just take pictures.
It’s really a beautiful escape and unexpected surprise in LA!
We are from cbu and travel to here during skol holidays. It’s a very special place to stay. Unique and great places. Good experience and splendid place with d beautiful beach view and swimming pool...
We have stayed several times for a Valentine week-end because our granddaughter was born on that day and lives close by. We try to stay a few days most years when we are in Culver City celebrating. We love the ambience, the history, the location and the evening entertainment. The rooms are comfortable and very clean.
I'm trying to be impressed, but... While the history of the hotel is interesting and the staff is friendly, the hotel desperately needs attention. The first room I was in had a very dirty floor and carpet. I didn't stay long enough to look around beyond that. I immediately called downstairs. They were gracious and quick to get me into another room. Nicely appointed, I noticed the curtains were in tatters. Tacky, but I can live with that. When I returned from dinner last night the room key didn't work, so I went back downstairs to get help. Again, the staff was prompt and courteous and were quick to help. This morning I got up to discover a leak underneath the bathroom sink. Then when I tried to use the in-room safe before leaving for the day I discovered it didn't work. Downstairs to the front desk again, to report the a) leak under the sink and b) the safe that didn't work. Once again, the staff was prompt and courteous and offered to comp the last night I stay, which I appreciate and feel is appropriate given the troubles, especially given the rates that are charged.
When I got back to the hotel from being out for the day, I came upstairs and...the key card didn't work (again). Back downstairs to get help, and now I'm back in the room and have discovered that the water leak under the bathroom faucet is STILL leaking. Perhaps I should expect this from a hotel built in the '20's?
I personally will not be coming back when I'm in the area again.
