Beautiful location, wonderful staff!
Sarah I

Absolutely beautiful hotel with wonderful staff - we didn't want to leave! It is expensive, but everything in and around San Diego is too. Loved the golf cart service to the beach (making sure we didn't miss sunset). Our server for dinner was delightful! Even the cashier for ice cream was wonderful.

Misleading "Upgrade"

We booked our room several months on advance. Upon check-in, we were told we had received a complimentary upgrade for our room (we were reserved for a king standard room). We were excited until we walked into our "upgrade." An Oceanfront room with a table for 8 and a sleeper sofa. The bed had a white hospital blanket on it and 1 pillow inside if a plastic cover. I was furious. I called front desk and found out the truth: the hotel had overbooked and we're basically trying to "fix" it by telling guests they had an upgrade, but in reality, it was not. I demanded to be relocated our second night to the room we were supposed to have, but they wouldn't have done this unless I called and pointed out that I am from a family that is in the hospitality business, what they did was fraudulent, unacceptable, and classic bait-and-switch. Other things: huge spider in bathroom, other guests in our party had four pairs of shoes stolen from their room by a hotel employee, and another guest was "upgraded" to s ridiculous Murphy Bed. Rude employees, employees that steal... The whole place has the terrible stink of mismanagement at it's worst. A shame because the property is lovely and has potential.

Excellent getaway.

Our resort view room overlooked the pool, which kept my toddler very engaged. Two full size beds (unfortunately no queen beds) with plenty of space despite also having a crib in there. Beautiful resort. They can also take you to beach with a golf cart.
