Family Getaway

Our family visited from Arizona and we had a blast! There is so much for families to do at Loews Coronado. From poolside games, drinks by the pool or visit the nearby downtown Coronado. Service was great anywhere we went within the hotel but we received excellent service from Marc in the breakfast restaurant. You’ll have to try the chicken chilaquiles from Crown Landing and a Watermelon Mojito from La Cantina! Thank you for the great hospitality!

Incredible stay

We had such an EPIC weekend in celebration of my 50th birthday!! First off Paula in the executive office was AMAZING and patient with us as we made countless changes to our reservation block and made me feel really special! She even sent birthday cupcakes and champagne to my room to commemorate my big day! At the pool, Erin and Shannon went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure our large group of 20 were well cared for. I was amazed. We had like 10 checks going and they executed flawlessly. They really made all of us feel super special! I can't thank them enough and if I could leave 6 stars, I would. Special mention to Alan & Arielle at the bar!

Top Notch Resort

From the beginning to the end of my stay, I was treated with presidential favor. I have never experienced such a consistent level of professionalism. Definitely my favorite resort so far. This place is second to none.

Nice hotel but you will need a car

This is a hotel where you may want to request a specific area for your room. The rooms are numbered with the building number first, then the floor, so room 4105 is in the 4th building on the 1st floor. You probably don't want this room, as it's literally 5ft away from the pool area. This means that you can't have the blinds open or people can see into your room directly. It also makes it awkward to use the patio. The other room that our party had was 1320, this was in the first building on the 3rd floor facing the gardens. It was much quieter and had a view of the water and the Coronado bridge. So I'd definitely recommend a room facing the gardens instead of the pool. Otherwise the rooms are nice and quiet, although you will hear and feel people letting their doors slam shut. There is a big tub in the bathroom which to me is just a waste of space because it means the stand-alone shower is very small. Lovely desk and cleaning staff. Self parking is super easy and once you figure out the stair system very convenient. If you're only planning on visiting Coronado you could be fine without a car since I believe the hotel offers a shuttle into town and parking there is a bit hard to find anyway. But if you're planning on going into San Diego itself or doing some exploring then you'd definitely need a car.
