How to Get There
Casa 425 is in the perfect location downtown in Claremont. They have a nice lounge downstairs with good food and great drinks. No room service, but you’re welcome to take food from the restaurant back to your room. Amazing bed! Big, luxurious bathtub, but it isn’t behind any door so not great for family/friend stays. My only complaints are that it can get a bit noisy on the weekends because it is downtown, especially on the first floor, and it is a little overpriced in my opinion. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
Casa425 is located in the heart of Claremont Village within walking distance to everything. No better location. I stayed in a large comfortable king room right off the patio lounge area. Large windows and French doors opened onto the patio with a nice privacy curtain between the room and large lounge patio. Enjoyed the “Pie Festival” on Saturday and a great farmers’ market on Sunday. The lounge was a fun place to relax outside and enjoy great cocktails. The staff was helpful and kind. Only suggestion: bring a USB hub if you have lots of devices — plugs were limited — especially near the bed. Don’t miss Casa425 if you’re visiting Claremont.
I stayed in a courtyard king room for business and had a very pleasant experience. I was a bit worried when I noticed the complimentary ear plugs on the nightstand but it was raining the first night and cold the next so no one was hanging out in the courtyard anyway so all was quiet. I didn't spend very much time in the room as I was there for work, but I couldn't wait to get into bed at night. The bedding was the most luxurious bedding I've ever experienced. The bed was super comfortable, but the sheets and duvet were divine...pillows too and I always have trouble with finding comfortable pillows. I don't think the floor is going to matter as far as sound goes because the all seem to open to the courtyard...but sound travels up so you're probably better off at the ground level.
I am an older pregnant lady whose toddler regularly wakes her up at night. So in preparation for the birth of child #2, my in-laws took care of our toddler, and my husband and I drove 25 miles to Claremont. I hoped for rest and relaxation, but quite often I have a hard time sleeping. My husband and I really liked Casa 425. It's walking distance to fun shops, great food, and one of Southern CA's most beautiful university campuses. The staff was courteous and competent. The bed was comfy (memory foam), the room felt spacious, and the soaking tub was a nice luxury. While we did not make use of the lounge, it was nice to see folks chatting and having a good time on the patio. The continental breakfast seems dull at first glance, but some of the items (bread, tea bags, granola) are a cut above your standard supermarket fare. There's a water cooler in the lobby, and parking in the structure across the street is free. The only problem for me (my husband did not mind) was the street noise. I think all the concrete surrounding the hotel actually amplifies sound. We could hear a street musician playing across the street more clearly from our 3rd floor room than when we stood outside the entrance to the hotel. So a rowdy driver doing late-night donuts in the parking garage and an early morning street sweeper unfortunately woke me up. Still, it's a great hotel and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a little casual luxury in a cute college town.
Stayed for my birthday and enjoyed everything about this hotel. We had friends join us for Happy Hour in the outside lounge which was fabulous. The staff is friendly and eager to help. Our waiter John Mark has so much personality and he aims to please. The rooms are very clean and chic with great high end bedding. We love the location, it has a WestWood or Pasadena feel to it. Had the continental breakfast in the morning which was very nice. I just absolutely love this place and will definitely tell all my friends and will be back
