A little bleach in the bathroom would go a long way!

I booked a room with my family at the Burbank Airport Marriott because we had an early morning flight the next day. The staff was friendly and the lobby area was updated and very nice on arrival. Unfortunately, the rooms were less impressive. The beds were a bit lumpy and did not provide a restful sleep. But the worst part of the room was the unkempt bathroom. We immediately observed mold and mildew build-up in multiple locations and on the shower curtain itself along with a few gross stray (pubic?) hairs from a prior guest. There were also various scuffs on the walls and the bathroom door handle was loose and felt like it was about to fall off. Check out the photos to see what I'm talking about. If this hotel would take more care and do better upkeep of the guestroom bathrooms (e.g., regularly clean with bleach and remove stray hair) and replace the mattresses, I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. But as of today, the rooms just aren't as nice or clean as most of the Marriott properties I've visited over the years and the only reason to consider this hotel is the proximity to the Burbank airport.

Love this hotel

Convenient, well apportioned, fun activities, courteous staff, excellent food. So close to airport and sites. I always stay here when I’m in the area. I also heard this hotel was redone about 4 years ago which explains why it’s so nice.

Outdated and overrated

Way overpriced for a mediocre hotel. They also charge a $28/night parking that still require you to walk at least a block and a half to get to the hotel. The bathrooms are cramped, the tub does not drain unless you pull out the stopper completely, the showerhead is old and sprayhead is filled with calcium which makes the water spit in different directions, the toilet takes forever to flush, and the hairdryer is cracked and exposed where the heat element is which can burn you if you touch it. I expect way more from a hotel that charges you such a high rate. Which brings me to their snotty desk clerks. When I checked-in I asked them if the rates may have changed and if there was a better rate. She immediately said it was too late to change, which is bs because I know anyone can change the rate especially if I booked early and now the prices have come down. It's just immoral practice if they choose to do that to a loyal customer and reward someone that booked last minute with the cheaper rate.
