How to Get There
Executive king is pretty tight room but we were hardly in the room. Not really room to keep two suitcases out and open. Chairs and bed and desk very tight fit. Has a hip, youthful and fun decor. Bathroom feels contemporary and updated and great toiletries and fabulous towels. Really need to fix bathroom door. It’s glass and you can see the person sitting on the toilet from outside the bathroom. Also when light is on in the bathroom the glass door let’s too much light into the bedroom. Pillows are terrible and too thick but bed is good and room gets dark. Very kind staff. Highly recommend the egg sandwiches one block away at Super Duper Burger for breakfast and lattes from Caffe Strada.
Our room (603) was tiny. it was an awkward set up as the sink was in the room and the little bathroom had the toilet and shower and literally nothing else. We were traveling for an extended period of time and couldn't really move with our suitcases in the room. The location was good, very close to campus. We were there on a big game weekend which we didn't know. The hotel had a very, very loud pre game party. LOTS of drunk 20 year olds. We enjoyed it. It wasn't loud during the night. They did a good job of managing hotel guests so we could easily come and go and they had control of the party. Probably wouldn't stay here again.
Do not park in the lot, after 6 hours of being parked my window was smashed in their parking lot. The only thing they took was an empty grocery bag. I know its a park at your own risk, but the hotel staff either didnt seem to care. They didnt help me find a place to get it fixed, they didnt help me file a report, they had to be asked to take the $35 parking fee off of my bill. Completely appethetic to the bad situation no one wants to deal with while out of town. Also no espresso drinks available in the morning, a college theme hotel with no espresso drinks?! Disappointing stay
I stayed here for 4 nights. On 2 of these 4 days there was no hot water. I came back in the evening the first day there was no water and there was no apology. They said that they found someone had switched the main heater by mistake. I asked to have a supervisor call me. No one called. The steel accessories in the bath are rusted and overall the feeling of staying is quite bad. The fitness room is a joke with one poor quality elliptical and treadmill in a stuffy room. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired as well.
I spent a night here on a business trip and got in late. This place is very cool and has a great vibe. You can feel history here in the design and decor.
The beds are ridiculously comfortable with triple sheeting and pillow toppers and plenty of comfortable pillows.
Everything here screams ‘vintage cool!’
