How to Get There
The Hotel was fine, the room was nice and clean. The staff were helpful. The problem was 3 months later, I get a charge for $350 on my credit card. I call the Hotel and I'm told that I was all paid up when I checked out 3 months prior. The young lady says I'll have the accounting department call you. 2 days later I get and E mail stating, " You extended your stay and we didn't charge you". I wrote back saying If I owed you for the extra day fine, but why did it take so long to figure out, and why would you not call me to get authorization to charge my card? I was told there were no outstanding charges, so I canceled my card thinking there was fraudulent activity. We are all wasting time , because you didn't have the courtesy to pick up the phone?
I have used this Hotel chain several times, and being newly retired had planned on several more times. I won't use them again. This is very poor business practice. I tried to find an email or contact for the Hotel management, to no avail. There is no contact anywhere for customer complaints?
If you go to Palm Springs you have to experience this hotel at Rancho Mirage. Is a very elegant hotel with delicious food, great service and an spectacular view. It is very family friendly, lots of activities for adults and children.
So impressed with this hotel. Landscaping is amazing, the views are spectacular. Location is about a 15 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs. It is 100% kid-friendly (kid's club, kid's pool, candy bar, grassy play area), but kid-friendly in a civilized way. Kids aren't running around crazy. We had no problem getting lounge chairs by the pool. Not the kind of place where people are marking pool chairs at 7am. However, our stay was in October. At night they had unlimited fire pits going with chairs set up around each one.
The hotel staff all were so friendly. The spa was AMAZING! Champagne while you relax. They even heated my robe. I had a massage by Norma, who was fantastic. The gym was the nicest hotel gym I have been to, even had a boxing room.
The rooms are nice. For a 5-star hotel, they are not over the top, but definitely nice. The hotel shines more in the grounds and amenities.
Can't wait to go back.
