Great location w/ nice pools.
Reviewed 3 days ago

We stayed here for a couple of nights in June. We really enjoyed just relaxing by the pool and ordering drinks/food. The staff was friendly and the valet was quick. It was a much needed couples trip to unwind. We had a suite w/ a separate bedroom - it was a pretty big room. The decor was stark and it wasn't the cleanest (not gross but just a little worn w/ scuffs on the walls and some wear and tear on the furniture). We would stay here again at the right price...

Awesome hotel!

The resort is simply awesome! The location, set amongst the foothills of the mountain is breathtaking. The bungalows are decorated with a cool west coast vibe and are very welcoming. The staff is great! So friendly and accommodating. I was pleased to ride one of their swanky bikes that was included in the resort fee. A must to stay at while in Palm Springs!

Avalon Amazing!

The Avalon Team sincerely cares! They aren't on autopilot, they are true professionals! It takes a certain skill set be personable, proactive and yet never invasive. The ENTIRE staff makes you feel like they are there to be make sure you relax and enjoy!

It actually all starts with Michael T. @ the hotel, all of your booking needs will go smoothly and he sees you through every detail ALL of the way! Have a request? Michael is on it! This was not my first time dealing with Michael at the property, but my fourth time at the property and each stay exceeds my expectations. This time we brought a large group of friends for a celebratory weekend. I swear I don't know how Michael juggles every request and genuinely makes you feel like YOUR issue or concern is all there is to deal with! He exhibits the balance of consideration and professionalism, which is RARE to find! With a group there are always details and pending issues and somehow Michael always makes you feel like you are the number one pritoty!

I think on this trip I noticed subtle touches that I never appreciated before at the property. The grounds are always yielding to a feeing of calm. There’s always wonderful music, at just the right level, so the music enhances but never interferes. The food is incredible; it’s delicious and healthy (so you can enjoy without guilt). You can't have better service than Tony and Nicholas provide and make sure you treat yourself to a wonderful libation from the mixologist John! After you’re indulged in one of the best margaritas you’ll ever have, go to the Spa. Pam and every person on the spa team, knows what they are doing!
Have a question, need a local referral? You need to go no further than Don D. The man is a fountain of knowledge that over flows with class! Make sure you introduce yourself to Don; it’s a treat to yourself! Don may also be the most well informed Palm Springs that I’ve ever met.
As the host of weekend, I can only say this…At the end EVERY one of our guests made it a point to tell me that they couldn't believe this gem of a hotel has been in Palm Springs without them knowing about it and they will ALL be back!
I wish I could remember staff member’s name, because I would have acknowledged all of them. I have traveled the world and I know that real customer service is a rare…but it’s alive and well at the Avalon Palm Springs!
Gratefully, Yvonne

Hidden gem of a hotel!

I love the Avalon Hotel and Bungalows! I come to Palm Springs for both business and pleasure and this is my favorite hotel! The location is ideal within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. It is truly a surprise after entering past the small koi pond and front desk to find a charming restaurant (Chi Chi's) with great food and poolside dining and the layout of the pool(s!), bungalows and spa is just beautiful. Tranquil and relaxing. The staff is super accommodating and welcoming. Don Devine the manager went out of his way to follow up on an inquiry I had. Super professional.

Wonderful trip

From start to finish, the Avalon is a true gem. We stayed in one of the bungalows and were extremely comfortable with the living room, fully equipped kitchen and poolside location. Michael the manager was a pleasure to work with and the entire staff was excellent. The old hollywood glamour still shines through and we cannot wait to go back and visit.
