How to Get There
Stayed 3 nights at resort for a summer family trip. Beautiful resort. Room was very clean and spacious. Very nice full kitchen area. Pull out couch was very comfortable for my daughter. Room also had a compact washer/dryer combo that was really handy. Room had 2 tvs, one in the separate bedroom and a huge 50+ inch tv in living area. Resort has a really nice golf course and has 4 swimming pools, 2 of which have water slides. Lots of activities available for people of all ages. Several stores nearby including a Super Wal Mart about 3 miles away. Definitely recommend. Also has very nice view of the nearby mountain ranges. Would definitely stay here again
We enjoyed 5 days at the Desert Willow Villas with extended family. It's a great place for the kids - they love the games, slides and pool. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Views are mesmerizing.
The room (villa) was awesome, super clean, beautifully appointed, quiet AC in the bedroom. We didn't use the kitchen for cooking but if we had, it seemed fully stocked with the necessities. We also didn't use the washer and dryer but super handy that it was available. The main bed was very comfy and the mattress on the pullout couch where our 5 year old slept was the most comfortable I've ever felt (thick so you couldn't feel the frame underneath you).
The restaurant was delicious! We went there twice for breakfast (great kids menu selection, especially the kids smoothie! and much more interesting than the standard "hot dog, hamburger, pasta, mac&cheese") and the market was handy for postcards and some unexpected toiletries that I needed.
The grounds were beautiful and clean, pools were fun, and I'd highly recommend this hotel! We got a great price going in the summer! (it was totally worth going in the blistering heat to save $$$)
My only suggestion for the hotel is…more shaded parking! (And checkout time was a little early but I understand as the rooms are like a small apartment and probably take a while to clean)
We just came back from a 4 day trip from this hotel. We were a large group, a total of 6 rooms. To our surprise, a couple of days later, my cousin and I got charged an additional $200 fee. When I called to inquire about this, I was told it was an extra cleaning fee for the conditions in which the rooms were left in. Now for some context , it is true that we didn’t make the beds or clear out the fridge prior to our departure, but in no way did we trash the unit. Days later, the hotels’ narrative is still constantly changing. Initially, I was told by the hotel security that the charge was authorized because I left a bag of coal on the porch, then The manager said the charge was actually because we got something sticky on the bathroom tile and the couch was dirty which led them to spend extra time cleaning.
We believe this is a pure antisemitism case! Most of our group was Jewish with skullcaps and we believe that this is what is leading the manager to treat us poorly. To charge us one amount as we checked out and come back with an additional $200 charge with no further notification the next day is preposterous. To not be able to provide us with any proof of our mess and to keep changing up the story of why we are being charged is also unacceptable.
Our family of 3 stayed for 2 nights here and had so much fun at the Ironwood pool. The suite is comfortable with 2 TVs in living room and bedroom. Nice balcony with a view of Ironwood pool. Big bathroom with a nice rain shower, full kitchen and a full size washer and dryer in the room. The parking fee is $15 a night but there's no resort fee. Kids and family friendly resort with waterslide.
