A relaxing retreat with marina views, including daily breakfast and the option to stay in a suite
Where the land ends at Tesoro Los Cabos, your restful tropical vacation begins. The sips and light bites at Lighthouse Bistro & Wine, the gourmet Mexican snacks at Agave Azul restaurant and the aromatherapy massages at Aura Spa set the scene for a tranquil Cabo San Lucas getaway. Your room is a quiet, warmly furnished retreat, but you hardly need to stay indoors to get your R&R; simply visit the marina, and watch the boats as they head out toward the sea.
Or, follow them. The Sea of Cortez, as well as the Pacific, is only a short walk, with the El Arco rock formation just a little farther. The waters are lined by multiple beaches on which to lounge or sunbathe – but of course, you don’t need to head out to enjoy these time-tested tropical-vacation pastimes. Like any laid-back Mexican base worth its salt-rimmed margaritas, this stay has a fabulous swimming area of its own: Known as the Skypool, it overlooks the marina, opens at 10am daily, offers easy access to the third Tesoro restaurant and houses a wet bar that mixes delicious fruity cocktails until late in the evening.
Good to know
Please note that a service fee of $5 per suite, per night is payable directly to the hotel.
Our advertised lowest rate is available April through August, but every bookable date is still the lowest price for that room, on that night, that you'll find anywhere online.
In your room, find a duvet, a safe, coffee and two bottles of water. Wi-Fi is available for a fee, as is room service, offered from 10am to 10pm daily. Deluxe City View rooms are 222 square feet and Deluxe Marina View rooms 226; Junior suites are a more generous 409 square feet, with a balcony or terrace that overlooks the marina and the sea.
The Tesoro Los Cabos dining program comprises three options: La Vista American restaurant, Agave Azul Mexican Cuisine and Lighthouse Bistro & Wine. La Vista sits next to the Skypool and serves up marina and sea views, along with buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. At Agave Azul – under Chef Sergio Dominguez, who has spent 20 years in the business – colorful regional cuisine is prepared, every day except Sundays. Lighthouse’s fare is fresh, local and seasonal, and its wine list features some 50 wines by the glass, four on tap and 150 by the bottle. Stop by on Saturday for a two-for-one deal.
Aura Spa is the place to go for a relaxing massage or body treatment; its therapies incorporate elements like hot stones and essential oils and can target your back, your face or your feet. If you’d like a pedicure, these are also on the spa menu.
This former fishing village-turned-A-list hub retains much of its easy vibe, with charming shops and cafés, sitting alongside trendy eateries and vibrant nightspots. Cabo San Lucas offers plenty to see and do beyond the hotel’s fabulous Skypool, like championship golf courses, secluded springs, artisan shops and zip-line tours... and that’s just on the first day. You’ll be on the marina, within walking distance of the Sea of Cortez. You can also wander to El Arco, one of Mexico’s best-known landmarks.
