Great location, unmatched service

My husband and I stayed here this past week for our first trip to Vancouver and we couldn't have selected a better place. To show how unparalleled the service is here - we made a mistake and paid for 5 days of parking at the underground public lot not realizing there were no in-and-out privileges. We just assumed we would have to suck it up and swallow the cost and pay again for the valet parking but when we told the front desk what happened, the manager at the time (I'm sorry I didn't get his name) told us not to worry about it, they would go get the car and cover the valet for the duration of our visit. They absolutely did not have to do this as it was completely our mistake so it quickly turned our trip around and showed how committed to service they are before we even finished checking in!

We had an executive suit with a balcony and it was a gorgeous room! A lovely little muffin and jam was waiting for us, radiant heated floors in the bathroom and the most comfortable bed ever. They were so helpful and welcoming, no snooty or aloofness at all, and I couldn't recommend the Shangri-La Vancouver any higher. Thank you so much for making our trip fun and enjoyable, we won't forget it!

Wonderful all Encompassing Experience

My wife and I had planned a small escape to Vancouver for her birthday, and elected to reside at the Shangri-La for our first time, Our experience at the hotel exceeded our expectations in all capacities. From the moment we arrived for check in to the time we checked out, we were treated as special guests. All the staff we encountered were warm, kind and did whatever they were able, to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. Our room was beautiful, clean.and quiet. When we returned from our evening out there was even a a thoughtful birthday cupcake waiting for my wife. It is little touches that makes one feel special. The attention to an individual and the detail provided. A sincere smile and the desire to be helpful. We will definitely be back for another stay when we revisit Vancouver and would not hesitate to stay in Shangri- La hotels anywhere in the world where we would be travelling. Thank you to all for making our stay so memorable. It was a wonderful all encompassing experience.

My wife and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary here in March. We're locals and have stayed at numerous high end hotels in downtown Vancouver. Shangri-la ranks among the best in the city. The service was next-level, warm, professional and unpretentious. The suites and amenities were first class -superior to some that charge $100+ more per night. We returned to our suite after dinner and were pleasantly surprised to find a bottle of wine, chocolate dipped strawberries and a handwritten congratulatory note on the table (thanks Joon)! We highly recommend this hotel.
