How to Get There
The hotel was nice and quiet. Room was clean and large. Staff were friendly. The train station is right outside so very convenient from the airport.
The casino is small and a bit dull. There isn’t much to do near by either.
After reading some positive reviews we decided to celebrate our grandmas 74th birthday here. To our pleasant surprise we were upgraded to a beautiful 2 bedroom suite! There was a nice note from the hotel and pastries in the fridge for a birthday girl to enjoy! Our grandma was in aww! What a great First impression!!
The rest of our 2 night stay was all pleasure! Hotel itself is beautiful, a round escalator is pretty neat, Starbucks right and centre and very convenient at casino entrance. After gambling, we booked a massage session and enjoyed the hot tub and swimming in the nice pool which also had a cool water slide!
Our package included a $30 food voucher. We ended up using it for room service pizza on both nights, just because it was that good!
Customer service was great. Everyone in check in desk, casino concierge, and room service was attentive and polite.
Now the self-parking garage is a bit of the walk away, but it’s free- so no complaints!
Overall a very pleasant stay! Thank You River rock for this wonderful experience!!
This is the best and cleanest casino in the Vancouver area, close to airport and the sky train lines are right at the casino no problem getting around in the city and only a 6 minute ride to the airport. Good shopping area and the staff at the hotel and casino go out of their way to help you have a great experience and return
The place was very nice. Food was good, but we only had catered events and did not eat at the hotel bar. The rooms were nice and they had a small casino, but I did not gamble. There is a train very close to take you to the airport or downtown, but the hotel is somewhat away from everything.
My husband and I recently attended an event there, and we had a one bedroom suite. We spent a great deal of money 2 nights hotel, food drink, gambling, had friends and relatives over who ate drank, gambled, used their valet parking etc.
However, this establishment seems not to recognize smoking is still legal in Canada, and our government makes huge amounts of money in taxes from it as they do with RR`s gambling!
Although I understand the entire concept of not smoking around others, or inside, I do not appreciate one little bit having to go have a cigarette in a cage!!!! As everyone knows we have a lot of cold and wind here and now the only place to go to smoke is cold, wet, and filthy. In the morning it was pouring rain and I had to walk through it to get to the little spot that was undercover. I was soaking wet and so was the entire space with the wind blowing the rain into the cage.
At night, people took their drinks out there, they got knocked over, and there was broken glass everywhere. I`ve always been a responsible smoker, I have never thrown a cigarette out my car window, if there`s no ashtray where I smoke, I will pick up the butt and take it with me, and I`ve always been conscious of where the smoke was going from my cigarette, to take care it wasn`t going in anyone`s face.
And you know River Rock, and others, my money is just as good as anyone else's, and smokers do not deserve to be treated like they`re criminals or second class citizens.
We have attended this particular event for the last five years, there was an area where we and others could sit outside in a pleasant place, and stay out of the rain and wind and smoke our cigarettes, but that place isn`t there anymore, for some reason it`s been taken away. Needless to say River Rock, we won`t be back!!!!!!!
