Ok hotel with a brilliant location. Very busy at check in . Untrustworthy staff/maids. Clothing stolen from our room with no investigation from the hotel. Very disappointing. Gives Rio a bad name. Avoid!!!!!

Good location right on beach. That is the only positive for this hotel!!
Hotel was dark and in need of serious refurbishment. The waiting area was disgusting with old tired stained seating. Staff were sullen and not friendly.
Room had a partial sea view, two single beds instead of double. bedding was flimsy and stained. Carpet was stained. no English TV channels.Toilet/shower was stained and very dated. Towels were worn and thin.AC worked ok.
Breakfast was a free for all with overcrowding. One toaster for 1600 people. Hot food was awful and poor selection.
Saving was that the restaurant on 30th floor provided good food reasonably priced, however waiters served wrong meals to us. Almost all the staff had no English making communication difficult.

Good location poor hotel

This hotel boasts 5 stars. It us more like 2! The staff do not get food orders correct or do not order the food. The breakfast is like being in a rugby scrum to access food. The air con smells of pee and leaves your clothes damp. Shame excellent location overlooking copacabana beach.
