How to Get There
Stayed for 6 nights in a room with panoramic view. Excellent room and fantastic service form all the staff ,,,(especially Carlos at breakfast and at the pool bar!!!). No complaints at all great location over looking Copacabana beach with good bars and restaurants around. Ate at the hotel restaurant and had a lovely meal. All the staff were really friendly and reception helped with advice etc. We stay again and reecommend.
Nice hotel in a great location. Very reasonably priced for 2 adjoining rooms. Clean and comfortable. Nice rooftop pool with a bar. Staff available on the beach right across from the hotel to set up chairs and umbrellas... and a plus; has a cooler filled with all types of beverages to buy. Would recommend.
I may have given this 4 stars (at a push) had one of the wait staff not thrown a temper tantrum when I spilled some orange at the breakfast buffet - which I hasten to add I cleaned up immediately as well as I could with a napkin!
Breakfast itself is a nice selection of fresh fruits and cooked items.
But in reality 'average' is the best thing I can say about this hotel. The room is beige. The views are nothing to get excited about. There are only 2 lifts in this 20 floor (3 actually but the other is only for staff) and no access to the stairs which means it takes around 15 minutes to get from one floor to another.
The roof bar is quite nice but the day we checked in there was a noisy party which went on later than guests are permitted to use the bar. They also insist on providing waiter service to the sun loungers but it is necessary to go and find a waiter (and get sent back to your bed) before they help you. (I strongly recommend having a much nicer time with nicer drinks for much less at a beach kiosk.)
We were greeted with friendly & helpful staff Rachael (apologise for incorrect spelling). She advised firstly to take off our gold necklaces and then gave us information of where to eat for first night in Rio. Hotel centrally located across the road from Copacabana Beach. Breakfast Staff warm and friendly always with a smile. Beach staff also excellent and helpful. Room good size with king size bed. Housekeeping always there immediately to supply extra towels etc when required. Only hiccup was lunch ordered one day at pool roof top took 45 minutes and even then our French fries came after we finished our lunch. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Close to many restaurants & beach. Staff should be congratulated for good friendly service.
What a great location for a hotel! Right on the beach at Copacobana with a stunning rooftop pool and bar area from which you can see Christ The Redeemer. Whilst our room faced a side street, we had a nice little balcony where we would see the beach to our left and Christ The Redeemer to our right - all lit up at night in its glory. The breakfast was very good and the staff excellent and would definitely recommend it to friends heading to Rio.
