Good location

We stayed at the Orla forma few days. Great location at Copacabana and close to Ipanema. Nice staff, very helpful.
Clean rooms but Make sure you have a window on the street or beach.
Very small swimming pool as well but you are right on the beach.

Continue the refurbishment. Please.

Staying at the Orla Copacabana after extensive travel around Brazil is like coming home. We have done this many times over the years. Staff at recepção are all smiles and handshakes when we come through the door, and they often give us a better room than the one we booked, if possible. But the property is starting to fray around the edges and would definitely benefit from deep cleaning and refurbishment. Bed sheets are ill fitting, old and grey, and have been washed too many times. They need renewal. (as do the faded and wilted nation flags over the front door). The blanket is tattered and threadbare, the window hinges are broken, the bathroom door knob fell apart from lack of simple maintenance, the shower doors need to be degrimed and the soap dish refastened to the wall. Even the spoons, hanging as decoration on the restaurant wall, are getting rusty with age. A recent refurbishment of the beautiful rooftop swimming pool and deck cannot make up for the fact that you are now paying too much for what you get. So pick it up a notch guys, and return the Orla to the higher standard we were accustomed to.

Excellent location, need refurbishment
Reviewed 5 months ago

The location at the edge between Copacabana and Ipanema is excellent as both iconic beaches are at walking distance.
For the hotel itself the quality/price ratio is a bit poor. Rooms are spacious and clean but clearly need refurbishment as all furniture and equipment are old. Intercontinental breakfast is of average quality, but what hurts more is the freezing airconditioning in the dining room. Airconditioning is needed as in all Rio given temperature and high humidity, but the levels at Orla are unhealthy and not necessary
