How to Get There
Let me start with the good. Excellent location at the beach, nice lobby, friendly staff. Coffee in the room, and the luggage is delivered to the room as you’d expect from a 5 star hotel
Then the nit so good. Rooms look like from a 3 star hotel. Cheap material and especially the shower is really in need of a modernization. The view is amazing though.
The hotel has prime location. But for what was paid, many other options would have been much, much better. The hotel is dated, and needs some TLC.
The front desk is seriously understaffed. Long, long lines to check in and check out.
Not for a Hilton flagship hotel
This is a large dated hotel, which is way too big to cope with the customers it has - to provide a decent service.
The rooms look tired, mattresses need replacing (double beds are actually 2 singles pushed together uncomfortably). There are too many airline crew arriving daily for staff to be able to deal with other customers effectively - so lobby is always full and staff unapproachable.
Breakfast room is tiny for such a massive hotel, and so you get a breakfast service akin to a 3 star B&B. One day breakfast had to be additionally provided in conference rooms to be able to cope with occupancy.
As a result the staff don’t have time to give you a personalised service and you don’t feel special in what should be a luxury 5 star Hilton experience.
Location is great though, opposite the beach and views are spectacular from front ocean facing rooms.
This was my most beautiful stay in Rio. I often come for business and I m happy that I stayed this time in the hilton copacabana. It was a highly enjoyable stay.room, service, food, drinks and view were excellent. I can highly recommend the Hilton Copacabana.
Just completed lovely stay here. Ocean view rooms directly across the street from this gorgeous beach. Very comfortable rooms and helpful staff. They have a gym, spa, and a multitude of bara, restaurants and shops of every kind in walking distance.
