How to Get There
Staying here is like a one-of-a-kind experience. It has all the luxe but that very genuine provencal atmosphere and feels to it. We loved our overnight stay in the middle of November where the weather is still crispy but with enough sunlight to keep you warm and happy. The staff was great and knowledgeable and the amenities are very nice. The details and decor is so beautiful that I wish it was easy to purchase some of the antiques and ship it back home.
We got a duplex which was not as big but the gorgeous bathroom more than made up for it. We loved the sweet touches of rose petals, treats, and notes that were laid out upon arrival. We also took advantage of the spa access and tried the jacuzzi and steam/shower right after our very expensive but amazing dinner at their restaurant. It was definitely a one-of-a-kind splurge for our honeymoon and it was worthwhile. Rooms during off-peak season like ours were quite affordable.
The location is not as central, but since we had a car, it was easy for us to go around.
Best place ever if you like French style. They know about hospitality, charms, ambience. It is a must go if you really want to treat yourself. A week end there will make you forget all is stress. Food great, great wine cave, great rooms, beautiful garden and pool
I am so grateful for the reviews I read on TripAdvisor when planning our first holiday to Aix. They were so helpful and we were not disappointed in any way! My husband and I stayed 4 nights in this beautiful hotel. We cannot thank all of the Staff enough for the warm welcome and farewell we received and the excellent service throughout our stay! The location was perfect, walkable to the centre of Aix where shopping and dining is plentiful and superb. We did drive to Villa Gallici but found that a car is not necessary if you plan on only visiting the centre of Aix. However, there is plenty of parking if you do have a car during your stay. The common areas of Villa Gallici as well as the rooms and gardens are beautifully appointed and manicured, not to mention impeccably clean We hope to return to this special part of the world and to see the special friends we made during our stay! Merci beaucoup!
I thought the location and the restaurant looked very nice. I was just so disappointed in the staff and the food. There’s a lot of staff but little attention. It took a while to order because apparently only one staff member is allowed to take orders. We chose a set menu and added a dish we really wanted to eat. No problem, perfect, but the first dish of the menu was below average and definitely not what we expected from this restaurant.
We usually choose our own bottles.
This time we went with the wine arrangement. It was nice but it lacked quality. At the end of the evening when the check came there were some irregularities.
It seemed as if someone charged extra for the wine arrangements. Something that probably had been the same price winds the beginning of the restaurant.
My conclusion, expensive for little quality.
I don’t recommend unless you order a good bottle of wine and leave it at that.
We stayed 4 nights in September at the truly magnificent resort. We had a Garden Suite which included a very nice sitting room as well as a garden porch area with two chaise lounges etc. We also had one gourmet tasting dinner at the restaurant. Everything was tremendous. The staff was highly professional and friendly. They helped with reservations, directions etc. The dinner and all the breakfast buffet were also excellent. All of the rooms are very nicely decorated. The pool was great and I used it often. The walk into town is about 15 minutes which was fine for us. It is also very close to the Cezanne Atelier.
