How to Get There
From the time I arrived at the airport, having booked a driver through the hotel to collect me, to the time I departed the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. I loved Room 34 which had a view of the Charles Bridge and had every little convenience to make my six night stay very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was excellent; I especially loved the cream cheese with chives in little jars, and it was lovely to have chocolates welcoming me followed by a fruit basket the next night. All in all, it felt like a second home and I have no hesitation in returning to stay here in the future.
The hotel is located right by the quaint side of the Charles Bridge, ideal for exploring up to the castle.
Everything about the hotel is good. The rooms, the food, the staff, the location.
Can't fault it.
Better suited to romance than a stag weekend......
This hotel truly deserves being the number one hotel in Prague. I booked this hotel based solely on that fact and it went well beyond my expectations. The location is the best, I stayed in the Depandance building, which is really close to the Charles bridge but quiet in the evening so you can rest peacefully. The service was incredible, staff really helpful, comfortable room with everything you may need and really good breakfast. On top of everything else, they surprise you with little details every day. I traveled solo and felt safe any time I left and came back. I recommend this hotel 100%
My husband and I spent a delightful week at Pod Vezi in May. Located at the foot of the Charles Bridge, the hotel is in a great area for exploring Prague. However, it is not an area for a car. We took the tram, subway, or walked everywhere we went.
Our room was in the Dependance building and with double-glazed windows was very comfortable and quiet. The staff was very attentive and took care of anything required.
Breakfast is included in their lovely restaurant. It is buffet style with lots of choices including freshly squeezed orange juice, smoothies, fruit, eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles, pastries, breads which can be toasted, cold cuts, cereals, yogurt and granola. Coffee from Americanos to espressos is individually made and served.
Altogether this is a perfect place to stay when visiting Prague.
This hotel is truly wonderful. We returned back to Prague for one day after visiting 2 weeks earlier as the first stop on a cross-continental adventure (we had a round trip ticket to and from the city), and after checking in to Hotel Pod Vezi we were gobsmacked that we hadn't stayed in this hotel on our first visit. The location, right at the foot of the Charles Bridge, can't be beat. We stayed in the annex building, and if the main hotel is better, I can only imagine how nice it is. Our room was enormous, the biggest we had in our entire European vacation, and with blessed AC. The staff is incredibly courteous and helpful, and the restaurant is delicious. If you stay in the hotel, you should also use the free ticket to go to the top of the tower - the view of Prague is beautiful! And do go to the rooftop terrace - we visited on our last night, and it was lovely and peaceful sitting on the swing and looking out on the city.
All in all, a 10/10 experience. This is the hotel we will recommend to anyone visiting Prague!
