How to Get There
After 14 days of sightseeing, traveling by train, van and air, it was delightful to have 2 days to unwind at Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort. We had a cottage right on the water. The room was clean, calming and simply perfect. The best thing of all: the totally cool outdoor shower. It was open to the stars and the best shower ever!!
The staff at the hotel are all very friendly and helpful. We were a bit early, but they got our rooms ready quickly and brought the keys to the bar ...where we were having a drink. The beach is kept clean and there is security walking along the beachfront. We felt relaxed and really loved the views of the South China Sea. The breakfast buffet had great variety, from the Vietnamese coffee bar to the selections of local foods and fruits. Dinner was superb. I loved the sauteed squid with tamarind sauce. Yummmm.
We hated to leave.....
This was the second time we have stayed here, having flown from London to HCMC and needing somewhere to relax and recover for a few days. This resort is actually at one end of Mui Ne, not Phan Thiet itself, but that makes no difference - we had no desire to leave the place! We had an extremely comfortable beach bungalow which was ideal in every way.
One of several highlights of this beautiful place is the food. We still have no idea what the restaurants are like further down the beach because there was no incentive to wander. We worked our way through the Victoria's extensive menu, both Asian and Western, and everything we tried was superb. Wine was expensive (as usual in places like this in Vietnam) but the food was very reasonably priced, especially considering the quality. I'm not averse to grumbling when something doesn't live up to its enticing description on the menu, but here as soon as we had finished one meal we were looking forward to the next.
There is ample space at this resort and it never feels at all crowded. Two swimming pools, one of them really huge, make up for the fact that the beach is not the best for swimming owing to the sand erosion problems of this area - but don't let that put you off. This is the sort of place that can help you relax extremely quickly! The service is so good and friendly that you will soon find you don't want to leave.
Find an excuse to visit southern Vietnam and spend some time at the Victoria resort - you will thank me for it!
The service was A1, the staff is extremely kind and helpful, i found the food at the restaurant a bit expensive though. But other than that, you get treated like a special guest, the place is super well taking care of! The breakfast buffet is simply amazing!! The infinity pool as well! And the shower in the room?! I could sleep there! Thank u!
We stayed here for 3 nights as a family of 5. We did not need to leave the resort as it provided everything we needed. Room on the beach are fantastic. Restaurant food is great and staff are delightful. We had a hiccup with something in our room and management were quick to act and provided a free 30 min massage for the inconvenience. Pools are great as well. Beach is not ideal here but just a short walk further up the beach and it is very nice for swimming. If you were looking for a nicer beach I would suggest going to the resorts just a little further on past the rocks.
Stayed at this resort for few nights in Feb 2019. Check in staff - Oanh was professional and friendly. They prepared all your info before you arrive that make check in process very fast.
My room was big and facing the garden, lovely scenario in early morning when the sun rise.Room has very nice lemongrass scent too.
We had BBQ at night with huge selection of seafoods. Breakfast was good and they change menu every day.
We used spa and it was ok. Staff was very accommodating.
Then only minus point is: I do not like the beach, lot of rocks and there is huge long tube run across (I guess it was for fresh water supply). I have to walked over to the next beach and it was fine.
Overall, it was very pleasant trip to Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort & Spa.
