How to Get There
My wife and I spent one night here. The check was very smooth and we received an upgrade room. They also gave us coupons for a free item at the local restaurant and had a anniversary gift waiting for us later that evening. Loved it.
Beautiful lobby with extremely friendly and professional staff. We had an extra large king room which was a great size but I was not a fan of the laminate floors throughout. It made the room feel a bit cold particularly with the modern furnishings which appear to be new and updated. The room was spotless (and I’m very particular about cleanliness). Marriott elite club is apparently closed on the weekends so we were provided with free buffet breakfast; food was average but the staff was wonderful. Overall, a pretty good experience.
We came back to this Marriott as we had a so-so experience recently at a nearby Marriott in Auburn Hills.
The rooms were renovated since our last stay. The beds were still nice, but not as comfy as before.
We were really disappointed that the room didn't have a safe in it. You don't come across many higher end hotels that don't have safes in the room. They should consider adding them to the rooms.
The connecting door lock had to be fought with a bit to get it to lock, and the door provided no soundproofing from the room beside it. I would suggest a non-connecting room if they have them.
The rest of the room was quite nicely decorated, and very clean.
Would stay here again if they added the safes into the rooms. I know I can leave items with the front desk, but I'm just not comfortable with that.
