How to Get There
Absolutely wonderful and very "plush". We were thankful after a long trip from Paris to be upgraded to the corner suite on level 3. The room was grand as was the 3 balconies with fabulous views of all of Interlaken Ost. For a three nights stay with two rooms booked (2 adults one room, mum dad and teenage boy the upgraded one) our entire family loved the breakfast. The staff were GREAT and allowed us to enjoy our experiences in a country not yet visited so far that we are thankful for. Also pleasing to see the upgrades being completed over the coming months in regards to aircon and double glazzing (under way whilst we were there). PS The bathroom was awesome as it made us feel like we came to an era that showed grandeur and class as every family should on a holiday in Interlaken. Thin walls though and others TV are loud to all.
Historical older building with wonderful views of the mountains from the balconies.
The hotel is conveniently located and a very easy walk to the train station. Very nice
breakfast buffet even with Veuve Clicqout champagne! I had about 15 rooms booked for
a three night stay and the reservation manager, Franjo Didak was very responsive and
easy to work with. The head housekeeper, Erica, is an absolute delight. She is so
wonderful she should be the Concierge. The hotel florist also creates superb floral
arrangements in the public areas of the hotel.
Historic building, central location and wonderful staff Tetiana, Sebastian and Juystina but sadly the same cannot he said about the manager Karim Abid.
We booked into this hotel to celebrate a 50th birthday and went down to the bar to have pre-dinner drinks on our first night only to be ignored by the bar manager . We then left without bring served after waiting 10 minutes
We also made a reservation for dinner at the hotel’s restaurant ( The Brasserie)which was pricey but the food sadly was well below average ! Our $70 steaks were stewed and over cooked, the potatoes were undercooked and the sauce was runny!
We contacted the manager to report both the poor meals, as well as the lack of service at the bar only to receive a generic response from an employee ( not the manager) which in no way addressed any of the issues raised. We then indicated that we would like to speak with the manger but received no further responses. Extremely poor customer service and management
