How to Get There
We stayed at Oberoi Bangalore for 3 nights and we had a lovely time with our kids! Our stay was made memorable due to many experiences unique only to Oberoi!
First of all, the hotel is an oasis of green in the heart of the city, which is difficult to find in Bangalore (except Taj Westend). Some of the trees are more than 100 years old and no wonder they look at you in the eye, even when you are on the 5th floor! The greenery is further complemented by small water bodies. Even the pool is surrounded by lush green and tall trees which makes it a very soothing experience.
It was our anniversary and Oberoi went a long way to make it memorable for us. We were showered with cake, rose bouquets, wine and a complimentary room upgrade (thanks to hotel GM Vishi) which made our stay really really special!!
However, it was the beautiful personal touches, extremely thoughtful gestures and exemplary customer service that separates Oberoi from other 5 star hotels – for e.g. sending sweets decorated with a chocolate Indian fag on Independence day, gifting a souvenir and an Oberoi branded pen as a gift during our checkout (which I have not seen in any 5 star chains – Taj, Leela, Mariott, Radisson, Holiday Inn), and even small things like folding the mobile charger wires and put a Oberoi clip during making of rooms and the list could go on. Talking about service, Yuvanraj (restaurant), Tashyaa (restaurant), Manish (room cleaning), and I think Rajesh at front desk are few of the names I remember, who were exceptional in their service. And that doesn’t mean that others were any less just that I do not remember all names!
And it isn’t complete if I did not mention about food! I just want to say that they had the best paneer and aloo pyaaz parathas we have ever had in a 5 star hotel! Overall the breakfast spread was quite generous in combination with an extended on-demand menu.
Only thing we could think of was that - it would have been an icing on the cake if they also had a kids play area, but limited space in city centre and business hotel orientation could be the possible reasons for exclusion. They should really give a thought to add one, even if it is a small one.
Overall it was a beautiful stay at Oberoi and it’s a perfect getaway for staycations if you don’t want to go far!
I have stayed at this hotel twice and nothing or no-one can convince me to try another hotel in Bangalore. The heart-felt customer service and attention to detail is unmatched, and you experience this from the front door! The rooms are a perfect size, and are beautifully maintained. The food is so delicious and nutritious! The grounds are beautiful and I like how they have the option for outdoor meals.
I cannot brag enough about the laundry, house-keeping and In-room dining staff. They serve out of pleasure and with a very positive and pleasant disposition. They are very attentive to needs/wants and they have really made both my stays very comfortable and memorable. Thank you for the little and much needed gifts!
I typically use the hotel transport service and is such a great driver.
The title says it all, I suppose. We had an amazingly pampered luxurious stay. Everybody, starting from the security managers, front office executives, housekeeping staff members, waiters, pool service guy to managers, was warm, cordial, kind, and exuded so much positivity. The greenery that you see inside the property would make you feel rejuvenated and forget that you are in the heart of the city. And the food was delicious.
Keep up the great work, Oberoiians!
