How to Get There
This is the first Oberoi Hotel I have stayed at. I was on a personal 4-night vacation during the Diwali break in November 2018. I chose this hotel based on several other guest ratings, which were excellent. And I am glad I did. Because my stay here has been one of the finest ever at any hotel! Right from the really nice MG Road central location of the hotel, to its raintree-shaded grounds, to the wonderful old-world-charm of the architecture, everything about the vibe of this place was immediately welcoming. The variety and quality of the breakfast buffet (loved the variety of authentic south-Indian dishes since I'm a vegetarian), the evening dinner at the restaurant, the room itself, the overall cleanliness, the small private balcony in each room with a coffee table, the unhindered quality of the free wi-fi connection (this has been a pain in so many other hotels), the hi-tech fully i-Pad controlled room and lighting controls, the wide choice of entertainment-on-demand (quite like the business class of an airline) on the TV, the additional TV with waterproof remote for the bathtub (this was in the standard room I was in), the little Red button for the butler-on-call for each floor, the customised-to-sleeping-style pillows that one can request for... the list of merry little details that one can state goes on and on.But beyond all of this, the absolute icing on the cake was the quality of the service here. Warm, sincere, welcoming and super efficient.. the staff of Oberoi Bengaluru has left me really touched with their hospitality. Right from the quick in-room check-in to the genuine concern for a guest's comfort from everyone right from the housekeeping staff to the restaurant staff to the front desk helpfulness to give me city tips, every encounter has been a Class-A experience. And I'll repeat again, I was a regular solo guest in a standard room! The little touches to leave Diwali sweets in my room so I did not feel left out of the festivities, then a little i-Pad cleaning kit left one evening by the housekeeping staff to take care of my personal i-Pad, to the charming little souvenir with a hand-written note from the staff to remember my stay, these good folks at the Oberoi know how to pamper a guest in style, and do it with utmost warmth.A perfect stay, in every sense of the word! Thank you, Oberoi Bengaluru.
An oasis in a city of madness! From the staff in the Polo Club to the very comfortable bed to the service at breakfast to the stunning food in the Thai restaurant to the personal trainer in the gym this hotel is brilliant. I stay every time I’m in Bangalore and look forward to returning very soon.
I spent one night at The Oberoi, and can't wait for my next visit. This hotel was filled with classic luxury, modern touches, and some of the best service I have ever experienced at a hotel.
Upon walking into the lobby, I was greeted by multiple people and ushered to a chair where I was offered a beverage and began the check in process. I was then escorted to my room where the check-in process was completed via an iPad and I was shown the features of the room.
The room was spacious and full of features. The walk in closet provided great organization for unpacking and reorganizing my cases for my meetings and trip back to the US the next day. The bathroom was large and gave off a luxurious feel. The lights were easily controlled via labeled buttons, and there were plenty of outlets to charge my devices.
Even though I checked in after midnight, for a minimal cost I was able to arrange for my shirt to be picked up, pressed, and returned back to me at 8am.
The breakfast buffet was included in my rate, and the choices were excellent. Even though I have food allergies, I had no problem finding plenty of choices.
Beautiful hotel serviced by incredibly diligent, friendly and efficient staff. The rooms are luxurious with well appointed bathrooms, comfortable bed and pillows and an iPad that controls everything from TV to lighting to room service. The restaurants are of very high quality also. But it is the the staff that make this hotel so much better than many others. They all just seem to take joy in the work that they do and are incredibly friendly. Outstanding.
We enjoyed 3 nights in this amazing hotel and didn’t want to leave! From start to finish, everything was brilliant. The rooms are stunning, with very comfortable beds and blackout blinds. The food was absolutely amazing and contained such different ingredients. The pool area is lovely and relaxing, and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. This really is a little gem of calm in the centre of a bustling city.
