How to Get There
My wife, Cyndi, & I researched compromise locations for our anniversary. We wanted good scuba & luxury, not as easy as it sounds. We picked Naia based on multiple reviews and it exceeded our expectations & didn’t feel like a compromise at all!
Of all the aspects we loved, the people top the list. Thanks to Mario (Sorry Mario 😉), Faura, & Carlos at the concierge desk, Gareth, Caesar, Jerry, Imer, Vanessa, Six & all the other wonderful bartenders/servers who worked so hard to keep a drink in our hands; the greatest driver, Gustavo; our kayak master Francisco; Jacquie & Sheena in the spa; Arlee in reservations... and all the others who made this trip great! Sorry to those I forgot!!
We stayed in a studio bungalow that opened onto the beach. It was everything the pictures suggest. Tough decision every day to either walk 5-6 steps to the personal seaside loungers, 15-20 steps to the pool or beach bar or simply lay in bed and watch the waves like the wall was a huge HD TV with waves playing 24-7
The resort capacity is small so at times, it felt we were the only ones there. Other times, we had great conversations with other guests (which I hope we really do keep the promise of staying in touch.)
Placencia Village is a short shuttle or cab ride away. It felt like a quieter, friendlier & lower cost Key West. (Just missing all the live music... hint... hint)
We loved the spa & my wife tried aerial yoga but best of all, we were welcomed for a week as part of the family. We will certainly be back. It was one of our best trips ever!
This place is a dream. Our place is steps from the gorgeous ocean with our own private stunning house and pool. The staff is amazing! Norma never stopped making sure our arrangements were perfect, even from the plane rides. Naura, Emmanuel, Micheal and many more staff, couldn’t be more kind, genuine and responsive. The accommodations, again, amazing down to the fresh flowers and pillow cases/sheets. Everything here is is 5 stars. Stay in room 4 if you can! Can’t beat any of the rooms, but I’m in heaven. So happy so far! We’ve stayed in many nice resorts, but this tops it for us! I would change nothing!
I just got home from this wonderful resort and am ready to go back
The staff make you feel like family, always available and ready to help. I’ve traveled quite a bit and this was one of my most memorable experiences.
My room was perfect, had a perfect view of the sunrise without even getting out of bed.
as the reviews indicate, this place is wonderful. cleans and modern rooms. amazing pool. outstanding service and views. restaurants are solid. good access to activities and other restaurants along the main road. highly recommend.
After a several days in the mountains exploring caves and Maya ruins we needed a few days to rest up. Naia proved to be just such a place. Wonderful staff and excellent service was provided for the most part by all. One blemish on our stay was the evening meal on Saturday night (March 2nd) was prepared and served by the "B" team. The food did not taste freshly prepared as it was the two previous evenings and was not served hot. There were also staff members "hanging out" in the lobby. We should have said something, but we had spent the day out fishing and just wanted to call it a night
