How to Get There
My sister and I had a wonderful time at Costa Blu. It is very clean, and the grounds are beautiful. Noelly was so kind and helpful throughout our stay, and the rest of the staff was wonderful as well (especially the lovely ladies who provided our spa treatments!).
The restaurant is great, and they were happy to accommodate dietary needs. Would definitely return to Costa Blu!
We stopped here for a beach break on our Tuff Enough Catamaran day tour.
Although we did not have overnight lodgings here... We found the grounds and facilities to be impeccable and inviting. The pools were clean and the beach, bar, bathrooms etc to be very nice. The cabanas looked spacious and if a Caribbean style.
Our entire group was struck by the fact that the resort is for Adults Only. The lodgings, grounds, and pools seemed to be appealing to families. The pool even had a beach graded entry which would typically be suited to small children. Ah, such is life it is for over 18 only.
Easily reached by boat, I think it might be a considerable drive down that rough road. Still seems like it would be worth it for those seeking a relaxing, quiet adult experience and maybe not needing to go into town to much.
This resort is beautiful and quiet, as it is adults-only. The staff, including front-desk, wait staff at the restaurant, and bartenders at the pool bar were all super-friendly and made this trip very enjoyable. I highly recommend Costa Blu.
We stayed at the resort next door and its restaurant was horrible. So we were very happy to eat at Costa Blue. We had the belizean breakfast one day the returned that same night and had dinner. Our waiter Maleek was superb. For dinner we had the coconut shrimp and a burger. Very very good. The cocktail were excellent also. We wished we were staying at this resort.
My husband took me to Belize for my birthday. If you are flying from the USA you will arrive at Belize City airport, then you will take another flight in a small plane that only fits 8 -10 people to San Pedro Island, then a 1 min Taxi ride to the beach, then a 15 min water taxi to this resort. Once you reserve the hotel room send them an email so they can coordinate your flight-taxi-water taxi-etc so you don’t have to stress. It was definitely a long trip! But.. we realized you may have to do that if you want to find nicer beaches. Once at the hotel EVERYTHING was great! Super clean, friendly staff, calm waters, beautiful place. The food is delicious and the attention is great.
We were among the few people staying during that week.
This hotel and many others along this area don’t have the typical beach access. It is more like a small beach area on a protected wall. So you can’t really walk to the beach. I guess you may have to jump from the wall.
You will need to rent a golf cart per hr to move around the island. Approx 25 min ride to Secret beach and other restaurants and to main areas of San Pedro we were told by other hotel guests that it was a very long drive. Over all a hotel far from the terminal/airport in San Pedro.
The bar pool is awesome. The music in the mornings was great adding nice atmosphere to an already romantic trip. The breakfast at the palapa was delicious. The lady serving the drinks at the bar was super nice. I got a very nice BD gift at my room from the hotel with a card. They really made our stay an unforgettable one.
