Overview

A four-star Design Hotel near the iconic Grand Place and Le Monnaie in the beating heart of Brussels

The Lowdown

Situated within a five-minute stroll of the Grand Place, The Dominican offers style-seekers a welcome retreat from the bustle of the European Union’s capital city. This four-star boutique hotel stands on the site of a 15th-century abbey, just minutes from the famous Théâtre de la Monnaie. A member of Design Hotels™, it has famous dutch duo Bart Lens and FG stijl to thank for its architecturally stunning archways, while rooms ooze style and character in equal measure.
Outside, things are just as nice. Head to the 19th-century, glass-roofed St. Hubert Galleries to shop for labels, or pick a prime people-watching spot in a nearby café or bar. If you’ll be back in time for dinner, reserve a table at Grand Lounge, for a fine-dining experience overlooking the serene courtyard, while cocktails served beneath sky-high ceilings attract an in-the-know crowd to Lounge Bar. There’s a cardio gym and spa as well as a boxing room, to help you work off any overindulgence, and a Finnish sauna and steam room to rid your system of any remaining toxins.

Great Hotel in a Perfect location

We really liked this hotel. The location was perfect. A pedestrian square right near the Galleries Royales St Hubert. We could get everywhere in central Brussels on foot with seeming to be in the midst of the crowds. We happened to be there during Gay Pride and the street noise was not an issue here. The hotel staff was great and super friendly. The room was plenty big enough and the bathrooms modern. We stayed for 3 nights and would definitely stay here again. Beautiful property!!

Too much noise

A construction site just outside the window, making it completely impossible to sleep. The hotel acted as if they had no responsibility for that whatsoever. As a bare minimum they could have informed beforehand about the construction, which they surely must have been able to receive information about.

Great location and pretty hotel

This hotel is a fantastic find and is more reasonably priced than the other major chain hotels in the city. It’s in a great location and is slightly off the main tourist track so it’s a relaxing refresh after a day of touristing. Gorgeous decor and adorable outdoor dining courtyard. Highly recommend!

Great hotel in the centre of Brussels

The hotel was very easy to find from Brussels Central station with Google maps. I arrived early at 10 AM and was surprised that my room was ready and I could enter the room. The Deluxe room was quite small but it will do for one or two persons, I did like the bathrobes on the bed. With my height (6.9 foot) I always need a king size bed, this time I had two single beds which were perfect for me. Lunch at the hotel was very good, Club sandwich with chips and coke for about 23 euro is not too bad. The lobby bar on Friday night was lively with a live DJ and some very good cocktails. Overall my stay was great, I paid for the stay with my SPG Starpoints and would stay here again if I'm back in Brussels.

From the moment you arrive in the Lobby, you will immediately smile. This place has taken a historic property and turned it into an exclusive now property that has the most luxurious ambiance and feel at every turn. No expense has been spared in the restaurants, bar and lobby areas to really make you fell your staying at some place special. On a downside the rooms are a bit tight and and bathroom a real squeeze at best, but when your working with historic properties, I guess that is to be expected. We have stayed a few times now and it is our property of choice for Brussels. VERY BEAUTIFUL
