Go for something out of the ordinary with a stay at Hotel BLOOM! Aptly positioned next to Brussels’ beautiful botanical gardens, this shiny, modern hotel keeps things fresh and funky, with no two rooms being alike. Each of the 287 accommodations at this TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner proudly sports a hand-painted mural by an up-and-coming young artist – and appropriately for the location, they were all inspired by the word “bloom.”
Elsewhere in the hotel, there’s a hip bar-cum-lounge-cum-restaurant with innovative design areas – think industrial edge meets a contemporary-art-gallery vibe. Here, you can enjoy full buffet breakfasts, tasty lunches, gourmet dinners and well-mixed cocktails. Up on the eighth floor, you can make use of a well-equipped gym and work out while taking in the great city views – which might just be a good idea, afterindulging in a homemade Belgian waffle (or two or three) from the hotel’s very own in-house waffle van.
Your XL room is spacious and individually designed, with its own unique hand-painted mural. Large windows offer a great view, and there are two plush seats, a sleek workspace and a comfortable office chair.
Smoods restaurant, combining “living room, kitchen and music,” has seven different areas to suit your mood, from Passion and Safari to Bling-Bling or Flower Power. Fresh, healthy fare is the order of the day here, from Caesar salads and vegetarian wok dishes to salmon steaks. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of hot and cold options, and the icing on the cake is the waffle truck parked in the middle of the restaurant, where you can make your own authentic Belgian waffles.
The hotel is located beside Brussels’ inner ring road and adjacent to the beautiful botanical gardens. From here, it’s a 20-minute walk to the city center and the Grand Place. While you’re here, check out the Stripmuseum of comic-book art, only a 10-minute walk away. The closest metro station, Botanique, is also just a few minutes away, so you won’t have any problems getting where you need to go.
How to Get There
Very nice stay @Bloom Hotel. Rooms are big, beds comfortable, breakfast is very good and of high quality. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The only little downside is that the area is not the best but all in all a very nice hotel where I will stay again next time I visit Brussels.
A terrible experience. Someone broke into room with a key card; took out all cash from wallet. I woke up and called out guy ran away. In morning we complained to management. Registered a case with police e-mailed local management and ceo. But total apathy from staff and management. Even two weeks past and still total indifference. The room and lifts could only be accessed by key card so staff involved. Would not recommend stay to anyone one wants relaxation on a trip not stress of break-in. Left without cash in a strange country.
Loved this stay with my family, very clean and tidy and extremely modern. Great entertainment for kids downstairs pool table etc. Within walking distance to all tourist attractions will certainly return
Me and my boyfriend stopped here for a weekend in Brussels. The hotel itself is about 20 mins (taxi) from the airport and about a 15 minute walk to the Grand Place. So we found it easy to reach all of our touristy spot we wanted to visit.
On arrival, its very modern and stylish with flowery twist. We had a double room at the front of the hotel so we did hear a bit of tram noise but nothing too bad. The room was light and fresh with cute green carpet which look like grass (bloom theme) and there was a bright painted mural wall which the bed was against. The bed was king size and so comfortable i didn't want to get out of it on the morning!
You are provided with free bottles of water and a coffee machine. The bathroom was clean and quite large and the shower was lovely, being hot and powerful.
We really enjoyed our stay here and it was a reasonable price for a touch more luxury feel and location.
I spent one night on my business trip in a room on street side. There’s a tram line running in front of the hotel which makes some noice. Also room doors are not sound proof so you can hear noice from the corridor.
Rooms are very spacious and beds are comfy. Hotel breakfast is good and even soya pruducts are available. However non-lactose milk is not. Waffel station is nice even if I didn’t try it.
