Like a little black dress, this sexy 60-room Brussels boutique hotel turns heads. Spacious monochrome bedrooms are decked out in black patent-leather furniture, smoky gray praline tables and black suede headboards. The bathroom is set behind smoked glass sliding doors and stocked with Etro toiletries. Public spaces maintain that monochrome mania, broken by the silver disc curtains that separate the lobby from the bar. Color comes into play in the green breakfast room and white Be Lella restaurant, but it’s back to black in the hotel’s hotspot bar, the guests-only roof-terrace Black Lounge from which the city views are stellar.
In the Area
Whether you spend your day exploring the stunning Royal Palace, shopping in the Royal St. Hubert Galleries, or snapping selfies with the Manneken Pis, when you return to the hotel you can find relaxation in its intimate spa with a sauna, steam room and single treatment room. On-site eatery Be Lella serves up hearty French-Belgian fare like sea bass saltimbocca with spinach, candied fennel and a white wine sauce.
How to Get There
Booked with British airways for a last minute break,
Hotel not far from main station, you can walk 10 mins or get the metro for one station down the line
Room was fantastic, comfy bed, mini bar, safe, shower was like water falling from heaven
Breakfast was good, nothing special, but very adequate
Reception staff very good, answered all questions on how and where to get to places of interest
I have stayed several times at Be Manos. The hotel isn't in the best neighbourhood, but it is close to the Midi Station and a 20 minute walk to Grande Place. The rooms are modern, stylish, large and comfortable. The breakfast buffet has the usual selection and is served in a bright airy room. The staff have always been very helpful when I have had requests, and the price is good considering other options in Brussels. It feels a bit like a home away from home.
Shoes were stolen from the room with no explanation or ability to tell me where’s they were said they didn’t speak English no compensation no explanation on top of that we had to leave early morning night staff told us we would get a shuttle bus curtesy of hotel but alas no morning staff said not possible. No breakfast available night staff said it would be at 6.45am but no watch out liars and thieves.
Booked a flight/hotel deal through British airways
Hotel was really good
Very close , 5 minutes walk from Midi station (Handy for Ghent or Bruges)
3 minute walk from Cantillon brewery
3 minute walk from Lemmonier metro station
Brasserie next door
Local area fine, felt safe walking around
Hotel very nice, very clean and tidy, looks well maintained
Reception staff polite and helpful and cheerful
Room clean, well equipped, smart nespresso machine that made a great coffee
Shower, bath with good rain style shower head
Room very modern and trendy but very black, looks great but all lighting side light style so don’t put anything black down on floor or you will never find it
Safe in the wardrobe, mini bar, tv etc
Breakfast room nice and modern and food good
Cold buffet and a small hot section plus drinks and fresh juice
Good choice and tasty
In summary would visit again, it was 10-15 minutes to walk to mannequin pis then 5 minutes from there to grand place. Lots of restaurants and bars around there.
This hotel is clean, very well appointed and decorated in a contemporary style. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was pretty good. We had a very large, clean, comfortable and quiet room - but without much natural light since it faced a small courtyard. Our safe didn't work, so reception let us keep valuables in the hotel's safe instead.
WiFi in our room was dismal - extremely slow with occasional random disconnects (even though signal strength was decent), and required re-logging in each time we returned. I only used it for uploading photos overnight.
The hotel location is a little outside the central area, near the train station. It's on the fringes of a somewhat sketchy neighborhood; probably not a good place to walk around in late at night. There's a metro stop about a block away and it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the city center. There are a few restaurants on the plaza just outside - we ate at BarBQ which was average and and Le Major which was very good; there's also a Moroccan place we didn't try.
Overall I think this hotel was pretty good - but the WiFi needs to be improved, and some guests may be put off by the location... however if you prefer not to walk around the area, you can always get a taxi or Uber.
