The Lowdown

The arty Aloft Brussels Schuman is a sleek hotel within walking distance of the European Parliament and a 15-minute drive from the Brussels city center. The interiors are chic and colorful, with a contemporary Scandi vibe in the communal lounge area – and the bedrooms follow suit, with a smart décor and big windows overlooking Leopold Park or Jean Rey Square. There’s no scrimping in the en-suite bathrooms, which have big walk-in showers and complimentary Bliss Spa bath amenities.
There’s always something going on downstairs here, too. And whether you’re grabbing a quick sandwich at Re:Fuel or mixing and mingling to the beats at W Xyz Bar, the mood is always irresistibly laid-back and trendy. There are even a pool table and board games in the Re:Mix lounge, and if you’ve had a heavy night, you can work it off the next morning at the Re:charge fitness center. Just don’t forget to check out the city itself…

Your Savvy room is contemporary and bright, with slick modernist themes and plush bedding that you won’t ever want to slide out of. The en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower, and the large window overlooks Leopold Park or Jean Rey Square.

Modern hotel near EU Parliament building
Reviewed 4 days ago

I had a double room on 2nd floor. Oddly, there was no door between the washing area & the toilet (or if there was, it was hidden!), but there was a glass door between it & the shower. The room & bed were comfortable, but like many modern hotels, the insulation between rooms wasn't very efficient - I was woken several times in the night by odd sounds. The reception staff were very helpful, and the food provided (buffet style) was very good.

Really nice hotel and great value for the money. Location is great for access to everything. Had a great time and would recommend for business and pleasure stays. Definitely will return to this hotel on future stays.

Nice rooms but loud
Reviewed 2 months ago

My friends and I stayed here for a trip. Nice rooms, but if you faced the outdoor bar area then it was very loud at night. My one friend had to ask to move to a different room on a weekend night. The breakfast is way overpriced for what they offer. Also, I think if you’re a paying guest you should at least get free coffee. Maybe that’s just a perk I’m used to in the US. As far as the neighborhood, there’s really not a lot to do at night we found. It’s more of a business type neighborhood.

Good location. Nice place to stay on business.

I like this hotel when staying in Brussels for business. The location is very good and the rooms are large and very clean. The hotel is reasonably priced and I appreciate the snacks, coffee, drinks in the lobby. Though on late nights I miss a full restaurant, there are several good options close by and a grocery store across the road. Staff are always friendly and very accommodating though I am rarely able to get access to a room when arriving early (from overseas) which is a disadvantage, however not uncommon.
