How to Get There
We were expecting high quality from Champneys, though the facilities were more than adequate, Rooms were pleasant however bathrooms were old and needs upgrading.
The evening meal was a disappointment as it was not gourmet as expected, however the following day lunch and breakfast were more acceptable.
Staff were pleasant and assisting but felt they were limited in their flexibility for check in and check out times!!
Had a lovely day spent enjoying all the newly refurbished facilities at Henlow. There was a great range of activities for all levels of abilities. The fitness team and spa staff were very helpful and we very much enjoyed Dan's stability class in the gym.
The grounds, flora and fauna are a delightful and beautiful kept.
Lunch was delicious with lots of choices available. However unfortunately the plates were cold,so our food did chill quickly. Our waitress Lizzie made up for the small gripe being particularly lovely, really friendly and welcoming.
I would most definitely recomend Champneys Henlow to my family and friend for a wonderful spa experience.
Having enjoyed many visits here, yesterday was no different. It just makes me feel so peaceful once I step inside the door. Staff are always helpful and work hard to make your day the best it can be.
Adam greeted us a lovely check in, making us feel valued immediately. Off we went to breakfast which was great and such a nice start to the day!
We basically spent the morning chilling out in the laconium and sauna, then had a swim and a Thalasso session.
By then it was lunch time and a wide variety of tasty food greeted us. The carrot and ginger soup was so lovely.
After lunch we had coffee in the conservatory and spent the afternoon relaxing, catching up and putting the world to rights as good friends do!
Then we visited the shops and found ourselves some "3 for price of 2" bargains for Christmas, assisted by the friendly and helpful Tamas.
We finished our day with a great stretch class before heading home feeling so much better for just taking some "time out!"
Had to buy a return voucher....of course so we shall see you all again soon! Thank you for another lovely day!
