We enjoy a week vacation in this new hotel , our appartment with beach front view , is supperb, big
and confortable , hotel stuff very kind always , the beach is a Paradise , quite and super clear waters with corar reef just steps to enjoy hours of snorkeling into underwater gardens.
We visit many beaches in many places and after Maldives we take Roatan as second beach destination and Grand Roatan is the place.

Pros and Cons

We stayed one week in one of the oceanfront condos. Let me start with the
Pros: Great location for snorkeling, quiet-not near construction that was mentioned in another post. Condo was well equipped, pick up at airport was seamless and we were also able to stop at grocery store on way out of town. Food for dinner was very good., but most days we ate lunch in condo and dinner at other locations. Umbrellas available, and most of staff were friendly.
Cons: Our condo had a musty smell the whole time we were there. The clean dishes in cabinets needed to be rinsed of the smell prior to using. Had to wash all clothes, whether we wore them or not after returning due to odor. There was only table and hard wooden chairs on patio, wish there had been a lounger. Service was slow or orders were completely forgotten when on the beach. We were told when we checked in that they did not sell day passes. Well, they do, as there were many days of our stay that there were large groups of people there that had taken over lounge chairs, blue towels and umbrellas and were wearing a different blue bracelet. One day there was a group of 20 that came off ship. When I asked about it at front desk, I was told they paid for a room for the day, so were allowed day passes. That really limited our choices for shade with an umbrella on those days.
Overall, we may return, if all condos have that musty smell, it must be addressed, and no more loungers and umbrellas for people who are not staying at the resort.

Amazing place to stay!!!

This was our 4th trip to Roatan and we love the Grand for it is the most amazing place that we have found there. At the front desk Witsell and Brittney make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. The wait staff is amazing as well as the yummy food. The chef even made me an order of fajitas himself:) The rooms are hidden on the hillside in a jungle setting. The pool is so nice You never want to get out. The swim up bar is hard to beat. The snorkeling is hard to beat right out in front. Our room was cleaned every day. The Grand is as close to paradise as one can get:))

An amazing location with great sunsets

Best location in Roatan Beach, hotel currently under construction, ask before booking if you want to rest. Staff is very friendly and food is great. Has an incredible deck to have a private dinner and watch the sunset, the pool is incredible and nothing can beat the location of the beach you can literally grab your fins and snorkel gear to swim out to the sea shelf and look at the beautiful fish in the reef. Hidden treasure in west end, make sure to try the Miami Vice!

Amazing getaway!!

We were very lucky to get a Premium condo on the beach- it was a big splurge for us! The condo was spacious and clean and had a fantastic kingside bed. Didn’t really use the kitchen except for the large fridge which was handy! The balcony stole the show - very large and thankfully partially shaded!! We had one of the staff bring some lounge chairs up ,as there were just a table and chairs. Watching the reef and then the sunset everyday was amazing. Loved walking almost directly off the balcony to the beach!Best room we’ve ever booked! Lots of space and umbrellas on the beach and you never felt crowded . I liked the breakfast buffet and dinner was good - we like that it was casual and you don’t dress up- walk right up with bare feet!! Friendly staff at the front desk , beach and bar too! My only suggestion would be to add some lounge chairs on the balconies.
Enjoyed walking up the beach to eat and drink- we prefer this to all inclusive!
Loved it here and would come back!
