The picturesque Alsatian capital of Strasbourg is a little bit medieval and a little bit modern. Within this UNESCO World Heritage Site, you’ll find an intriguing mix of cobblestone paths and crooked houses, as well as a thriving metropolitan society. In the heart of it all, just minutes away from the historic heart of the city, sits Hotel D.
The exterior of the boutique hotel fits into the historical architecture of the city, but inside, the interiors are designer-chic, a mix of bold colors and sleek charm. As the contemporary interior suggests, modern-day comforts abound here. You’ll enjoy complimentary access to the in-house, 24-hour gym, sauna and spa, while rooms are equipped with plenty of gadgets to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
How to Get There
I had a lovely stay at Hotel D while on business in Strasbourg. The staff are all outstanding and welcoming and helpful.
My check in was efficient and the room was lovely. I had a very comfortable bed, good WiFi and it was all very clean. The bathroom was also very nice with Nuxe bath amenities.
Breakfast was very good with lovely croissants and a good range of food.
The location was really convenient for the Palais du Rhin where I had to be on business. It was also only 10 minutes walk to the cathedral.
The staff were outstanding and could not do enough to be helpful. When i was suffering with health issue they quickly found me a doctor to look at my injury and then provided assistance on my return.
I would definitely stay here again as it's a perfectly lovely place to stay.
The service was second to none. Extremely helpful Receptionist. Upgraded us to a junior suite and it was so peaceful. Private parking very secure. Ideally situated for a walk around the beautiful ancient city. We would definitely visit here again. Highly recommended.
We loved our stay at Hotel D. The hotel is immaculate and the service great. Though the rooms are somewhat small by American standards, they are designed in such a way as to maximize space. We had plenty of room for everything. Everything is ultra-modern. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the Cathedral Square and about 20 minutes to Little France. The typical European breakfast was ample. The hotel parking is in an adjacent parking garage and is rather expensive at 20 euros per night. We would definitely return here.
Excellent hotel literally just a few feet outside the center, which means it is very quiet but easily walkable to the center and the major sites. Also, it is convenient if you have a car, with a nice parking deck right next door to the hotel and easy in/out of the city for a day trip to explore the Alsace wine region.
We booked a junior suite that was very spacious and quiet with a large bathroom with two sinks, separate tub and shower, excellent WiFi and friendly, accommodating staff. The only small drawback was that that our top-floor room had sloped ceilings and my husband, who is tall, had to be careful not to bump his head.
In addition to the Cathedral and tourist attractions, Strasbourg is a great city for walking, exploring, shopping, eating and drinking.
We had a great stay at a Hotel D and would love to stay here again when we return to Strasbourg.
Great hotel for easy access to the historic center without having to stay in the old city (or navigate all the one-ways). Easy access to Strasbourg Gare by car, tram, or on foot (although it is a bit of a hike). Perfect starting point for a walk alone the Ill to Place de la Republique & Parc du Contades, or a lovely run to the Parc de l'Orangerie. Also easy by foot to Place Broglie and a stroll through the old city to the Cathedral. Great value.
