How to Get There
We stayed for 6 nights in a deluxe pool villa... on arrival we were met by staff who were very pleasant and helpful... check in was fast and professional.
When taken to our Villa is was so surprised to see such a great amount of space that was all ours for the next week... the pool was maintained EVERY Day, the room was clean and the bed turned down each night with a lovely goodnight message and the room sprayed for any bugs... we had an area to eat near the pool if we decided to have meals in our private villa,
The bathtub was huge and the shower was outdoors, that felt funny to shower in but loved it. the bathroom was stocked with all the toiletries you may need.
You had towels for the pool and towels for the bathroom and changed when every you needed fresh towels,,,
The food in Padi Restaurant was really nice... we ate breakfast and dinner each night...
The staff all wish you a good day and always asking if they can help in any way - Widi who is guest relations was a lovely young women who could not do enough for us and made us feel special ....
We had the 60min full body massage and it was blissful, went went back for seconds lol
the downfall of this hotel is that they are about 20 min drive from Ubud centre - even though they do give you a free shuttle and you have to select from times to go and collect but nothing at night... improvements are being made at the hotel on room and the old lobby and if your villa is near this the workers can work up to 9pm at night...
If staying a week the the room does not have enough cupboard space for your clothes... we had travelled for the week before arriving and had to have clothes laundered, it was great value... the knobs were falling off or missing from draws or curtains... but we really overlooked this due to how relaxed we were
The bed was amazing and comfy and slept well each night... they had a fridge, safe, dvd player and many sitting areas.
Very Good stay at Furama Villas & Spa. Little bit more cleanliness required as we found many ants almost on all the tables otherwise everything was perfect.
Staffs were very kind and polite.
Nice view from the room.
Secluded but Amazing location, staff were lovely and very welcoming. Our villa impeccable. The linen not crispy white, however was clean. Shuttle runs in to Ubud were regular and always on time, just ensure you book, an hours notice is fine.
We had a deluxe pool villa which was nice. We enjoyed our stay but noticed couple of things. The breakfast was average since they cook way too early in the morning and then just warm it up. It should be fresh and hot. Room amenities were not a five star hotel level. Other than this, we enjoyed the property.
Was initially worried by reviews on here, but overall we had a nice stay. We booked for 10 days which honestly was way too long. Because the resort is about 30 minutes from central Ubud, it is super secluded and can get a little boring. Also, a lot of driving is involved to go anywhere. Recommend max 7 days.
Staff were lovely, especially Windia and Sunarta. They took us on lovely day trips for a decent price. Since it was the off season, there weren’t that many people staying there and so you tend to feel like everyone is watching on you. It was a little uncomfortable, but is not their fault.
Food was super average. Some of the food was obviously defrosted and the salads were super small and not great. Would have loved to have some nice big salads to have for meals. Pesto pasta was great.
The deluxe pool villa was beautiful. The only complaint I have is that the outside shower is on a bed of stones and hurts to stand on without shoes. The bath is huge and AMAZING. I want one at home. The other thing is that the reviews about bugs were real. There are heaps which is expected considering the location, so keep this in mind. The doors have slight gaps so bugs can get in. We had a friendly gecko living in ours and we heard him at night but this didn’t bother us.
You are only provided with 2 free bottles of water per day and extra is paid for so you definitely need to buy some. We bought in town a few big bottles because you cannot drink the water there. DO NOT LET ANY TAP WATER IN YOUR MOUTH. They say you can use it to brush teeth but DO NOT. I got Bali belly from the shower water getting in my mouth. Considering the price per night, would have liked more free water.
Also, massages have a 1000% mark up from places in town (Ubud and Seminyak) and we’re ok, but not amazing. Facial was a bit disappointing as it wasn’t adjusted for skin type, just a cleanse and peel mask basically.
Overall, I recommend this place if you want super seclusion. The villas are nice and have aircon, the plunge pool is plenty big. It’s a good idea picking up some pizza or cup noodles in town. Try Daily Baguette for good sandwiches to take back. If you hate bugs or driving, do not recommend.
