How to Get There
I stayed at Como Uma in Ubud with a friend in 2019 (August), right after we landed in Bali from Europe. The facility is big, with a lovely pool surrounded by lush nature, a great yoga deck, a spa and a couple of restaurants. Breakfast is unbelievable, with a choice of à la carte and buffet options. The hotel staff makes it a point to remember your name and try to go the extra mile to help. A great “boutique” option, right outside the noise of Ubud (a cab is realistically the best option to get into town). For those who seek privacy and a calm stay - I never review hotels and I am not an easy guest.
Our stay in Como Uma was one of the highlights of our trip to Bali.
Upon arriving we were greeted by the delightful staff and delicious welcome drinks. From here onwards, every member of staff, from housekeeping to restaurant waiters, referred to us by name and took exceedingly good care of us.
The room was one of the most comfortable we have stayed in, with fantastic views of the jungle behind the hotel.
Breakfast overlooking the fish pond was delicious, with a decent selection of pastries, cereal, yoghurts and fresh fruits, and there was a good menu for breakfast dishes to be cooked to order.
Uma Cucina, the hotel's main restaurant, was fantastic... top notch food!
They arranged cars for us to wherever we needed to go, and provided recommendations for many attractions and restaurants in Ubud. When returning from trips out of the hotel we were greeted with a 'welcome home', and that is exactly what it felt like... coming home.
I cant fault Como Uma on anything, I would return in a heartbeat!
Stayed for four nights in August before moving on to Jimbaran Puri. We had a terrace room with chairs table and a day bed with good views over the valley.Room furnished in white with high quality linens - large bathroom had bath and separate semi outdoor shower. Excellent breakfast cooked to order with some buffet items -toast, cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc - good attentive service. Very well maintained with friendly knowledgable staff. Pool good size c25m long and very clean but not heated.Hotel in walking distance of Ubud centre - very, very busy. Daily 8am (free) easy walking tour recommended to see more rural Bali. Went on hotel organised day excursion- fair value. Would recommend.
