How to Get There
Can not fault my stay, it's excelled my expectations. Loved being in the middle of the jungle.Felt safe and the staff go out their way to make your stay extra special, even acknowledge my birthday by putting on a complimentary dinner for me.
We had the most relaxing visit. The place is so tranquil and beautiful and was just what we needed after a busy time. The pool villa was wonderful with it's own pool ( rather large and not the normal plunge pool you expect), an outside bathtub in a lotus pond and shower. We had some of the best sleep ever - the bed was so comfortable and it was amazingly quiet. The staff were super and nothing was too much. We were originally staying for 3 nights but simply didn't want to leave and so we extended. Hemal thank you for the wonderful stay - we will be back!
I have been to Alila Ubud before and desperately wanted to come back and I did!
Experience was as good as the first time here, approximately 2 years ago. Warm welcome, great villa, amazing food, extremely friendly and helpful staff, stunning surroundings and an oasis of calm.
This time I had a valley villa as opposed to a pool villa the last time and even though I missed my "own" pool, I truly enjoyed the vistas from my balcony overlooking the valley and jungle. The villa is spacious with everything available you would expect incl. an outside bath tub to enjoy.
The Plantation restaurant is just amazing, serving the freshest food ever in a very innovative way although I must say that the menu has not changed much or at all since I visited last. I loved the a la carte approach as it made it very personal and the daily changing breakfast menu also never got old.
The infinity pool is just breathtaking and the afternoon tea is a very nice way of letting the day breeze by.
Last but not least, the spa. I cannot express how much I loved spending the time with the friendly and well trained therapists at the Alila spa. I took advantage of the 48 hour offer and had 5 treatments in 2 days, what a heavenly experience.
I would like to thank every one at Alila for having me and allowing me to spend a fantastic 5 days at this amazing property.
Stayed here for 4 nights absolutely wonderful resort in the plantation area. The monkeys are roaming free in the evening but do not cause you any problems. The staff are welcoming and friendly for the total relaxation break with spa/massage facilities you couldn't pick a better place to stay. Would highly recommend this hotel for the perfect break
Set in a secluded valley the Alila makes a big change to the bustle that is Bali. The rooms are great and spacious with outside bathrooms ( bath and shower) which adds to the tropical feel. The restaurants offer some lovely food and breakfast is waiter/restaurant served but you can have as much as you want. There is a themed night (Spice Road) on Friday nights which offers a wide range of local cuisine freshly cooked at a series of stalls located around the restaurant and there is local dancers for entertainment. Pool is great and not over crowded and there is a well fitted Gym for those needing a workout after a day of touring or relaxing.
Staff were friendly and very helpful
