How to Get There
We visited W as ‘day’ visitors - hiring a pool bed for the day. Luckily we arrived early as the beds were filled quickly. The staff are friendly, professional and attentive- we always had a bucket of ice for our drinks and as the ice melted in the glasses - they were quick to change.
There is a minimum spend of IDR750,000 per bed but between two of us with food & drinks - this is easily achievable!
The food and drinks menu was great.
Only complaint is the Shisha Pipes, capers and smokers - as a non smoker we found it disgusting to have to inhale the smoke. There should be a total ban on smoking OR there should be an allocated area away from everyone else.
I travel a lot and see easily 50 hotels a year (SPG Platinum for Life since a while) so I know hotels and know what I can expect. The W Bali went far beyond what I can expect from a hotel. The service and the guest orientation of the staff is amazing (Thai level and up). Just the little things like entertaining our 16 month old daughter during dinner (without being asked to), coming back without us asking an extra time to clean the villa since Zana made a mess (again).
The insiders Tasya and Ho did everything possible to make our stay an amazing and unforgettable experience.
I can only recommend this place: both as a hotel to party till late at the Woo Bar, or having an amazing time with your kids.
The W Seminyak resort is the best yet of any W,I've stayed in. Beautifully taken care of grounds, very modern and up to date rooms, the Ocean view rooms on the top floor being my choice and a great choice, the view out to sea,the sound of the waves on the balcony mixed with the gentle tones coming from the music at the beautiful pools below
All the staff without exception were wonderful, the list of things they did for me above and beyond too numerous to mention The vibe and ambiance is youthful but no matter what age you are here, that youthfulness is warming, infectious and invigorating, everyone is making your stay the best it can be
Breakfast at Fire was 10 out of ten, just delicious choices and plenty People looking after you there, really do exactly that Special mention to Boris, your Amsterdam intern, typical like all, of the W in being very Welcoming & helpful to guests
It looks like a super working environment to intern, a career and an asset in the making there I'd imagine.
In Short,my whole experience here was a master class in hospitality
The pool areas are lovely ,right over to the woobar area
The beach while public, does invite you for a daytime walk,sandles/flip flops off, there were plenty surfing just a short walk up along it,so while I wouldn't advise swimming out because of that tide, you can certainly wade in,safely knowing you're among many in my opinion,as dozens were.
While I was in a 5th floor gorgeous ocean view room, the patio ground floor garden escapes looked a different but another good choice, only a 2 min or less stroll to Fire for breakfast, dinner,to the pools or ocean
The gardens there had hammocks which were indeed a wonderful escape, you can see that area in one of my attached photos
In Short I highly recommend a stay here, the longer, the better!
