I love this place for its tranquility. The pool and pool beds are luxurious and being so close to the beach you feel very connected to nature here. The daily massages are very high quality for Bali. The food is delicious and the chef was happy to accomodate our dietary requirements without fuss. Would definitely return

Yet another wonderful stay!

This is the third time in three years that we have spent a week at this wonderful hotel.
It is a long way to travel from the UK for seven days but once you arrive, you know it is well worth the journey.
This is a beautifully small hotel ( adults only) that is quietly tucked away far
from the hustle and bustle of Denpasar on the north side oft the island. The transfer time is approximately two and a half hours from the airport.
We booked directly with the hotel and they arranged the transfer.
What you notice immediately is the calm atmosphere and the peace. The staff are all brilliant and go out of their way to help. Everyone greets you as a friend.
The bedrooms are large and airy with patio doors that open either onto the well kept grounds or onto a balcony. All have a sea view. The air conditioning works well. Sheets are changed regularly. The beds are large and comfortable. There are plenty of towels in the bathroom along with generous amounts of shower gel, shampoo ,conditioner and body lotion. Bottled water is supplied daily.
The sun beds around the pool are the most comfortable I have ever used... and regular iced water is supplied to keep you refreshed along with two swimming towels per person.
If you want to swim in the sea, crocs are supplied and you need them! It is not easy to get in and out of the sea due to slippery stones. Snorkels, masks and flippers are also available.
Food in the restaurant is freshly prepared and extremely tasty. There is an excellent choice at all meals. Dinner on the beach was a highlight. We have been married for 40 years and still found it romantic! The beach was decorated with frangipani flowers and lanterns and Arini had gone to so much trouble to make the evening special.
The spa is wonderful. We had a 50 minute treatment/ massage daily as part of our deal. All I can say is....heaven!
We also had a sunset cruise. This year we were lucky and saw loads of dolphins.
Some people might criticise the patchy internet but actually it is lovely not to see mobile phones around the pool and in the restaurant. The main reception area is the best place to get WiFi.
All I can say is that we will definitely return. Thank you to everyone at the Spa Village Resort for making our stay so memorable. We only arrived home today and we are already missing everyone!

We visited Spa village Tembok as part of a tour of Bali and Indonesia. It’s situated on the north coast of Bali which is a long drive across country from the port in Denpasar approx 4 hours. However, you get to see the country side en route and eventually you reach the unspoilt north coast which is a world away from the hustle and bustle of Denpasar. The Spa Village is situated on a beach of fine black sand. The hotel provides beach shoes and an area to wash off the black sand before re entering the resort. There’s a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the beach surrounded by comfortable sun beds. The staff bring iced water to the bathers throughout the day. Meals are included in the package with a good selection of both western and eastern choices. These are served in the open sided restaurant or terrace which overlooks the sea. The package includes an hour long spa session every day. I’d never had a spa treatment before and they were absolutely wonderful. Take a trip to the surrounding countryside and see the waterfalls. The local people are really friendly. Overall a beautiful hotel in a peaceful location ideal to totally unwind.
