2nd time at superb relaxing hotel
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We spent 10 nights in February and enjoyed it so much we went back in November.
The hotel organised picking us up from the airport. It’s a 3 hour journey, but when you arrive the staff are there to welcome you. From the first foot wash until the departure ceremony where you are given an egg for the journey, we were so pleased we came back. The staff from Lasyawan one of the managers to Nyoman the gardener make you feel totally at home. The massages are absolutely first class. You get one per day included in the package. The yoga teacher in November was Maria who is exceptional!
Mohammed the head chef will personally check all your requirements. All meals are waiter served at your table.
The grounds are lovely and the infinity pool is great.
This is a small hotel with personal service which is second to none.
Book a visit, you will not want to leave!

Relaxing Resort

If you wish to stay a way from reality, this is the place...as WiFi is only limited in lobby area and no TV in the room. A good place to relax especially with your love one. Great service by the team...especially Ms. Suratmini who always served us the breakfast with smile despite of many requests from us. The massage is fantastic and must not miss! The food is good and quality (good job Rizal). We had sunset and sunrise cruise and so lucky we managed to watch dolphins. Yoga is great too. Nite with star glazing must try with your love one. The entire arrangements and coordination from front office to massage, cruise, restaurant, transport and etc is so great...good job the team!! Keep up the good works and we wish to come back again!

The most relaxing place I've ever been
Reviewed 1 month ago

I can't speak highly enough of Spa Village Resort in Tembok, Bali. Me and my wife ended our 3 part Bali, Honeymoon here and we definitely ended with the best. We had spent quite a bit of our trip sightseeing and activity doing beforehand, after a lot of travel we were quite fatigued and this resort offered the perfect resort. The journey from Ubud took a long time because the location in Tembok is really quite remote. As a result there isn't a whole lot to see and do in the local area. However, if you're sensible, you'll never leave the comfort of the resort. We spent 4 days in the comfort of our luxuriant villa and private infinity pool almost on the sea. There was a wonderful wooden shack with a mattress and curtains next to our pool which made for fantastic lounging around. The resort sits just in front of a beautiful black sand beach. This place is made for one purpose and one alone, to unwind and not care what you do with your days. We did nothing but relax for 4 days and the time couldn't have been spent better.

Our full board, honeymoon package entitled us to breakfast, 3 course lunch and 3 course dinner. Before going I was a tad apprehensive about the cooking because there would be no alternatives local. However my fear was needless, I was blown away at the consistency of the cooking on offer. The variety of soups on offer were all sublime, towards the end I took joy in ordering soups with ingredients that I usually hate and finding them to be delicious. The menu changed every day with an excellent choice and minimal repetition. The ingredients were clearly all as fresh as possible. The vast majority of the dishes I had were creatively conceived, beautifully assembled and in perfect portion sizes. It's a spa resort but the restaurant for me was the star. Unreal!

The Spa itself was also terrific. As part of our package we had 50 mins of treatment a day which we could stack into double sessions if we wanted to miss a day. The Malay and Balinese massages were both lovely. The lapis lapis wrap was unbearable but I think it was performed correctly, I just didn't know what I was getting into and couldn't stand the heat.

All in all, this place absolutely deserves a 5*. Supremely comfortable villa, wonderfully calming setting, quality massage treatment, friendly staff and superb cooking. Would absolutely recommend to anyone just wanting to relax in a hot place.
