How to Get There
We enjoyed 6 relaxing days in a beautiful Villa with our own pool. The restaurants offered affordable priced food on an extensive menu that catered for my gluten free needs. The staff were friendly to a fault, and very caring, loved to have a chat, we just loved them all. Very quiet and peaceful if that's what you are looking for, offers shuttle bus to local beach, which is lovely and clean with Restaurants on the sand, and another shuttle to Kuta, all daily. We just loved it, we celebrated a wedding anniversary and hotel staff did some very sweet surprises for us!
Thoroughly recommend if you don't want noise, tourists and crowds.
We stayed here for 7 nights and was impressed by the resort and staff. Yes it was a bit old, and if you looked hard(really hard), you might find a few things not quite up to standard. But we found it to be one of the best places we have stayed, anywhere.
The staff made the place, as do the people of Bali, they couldn't do enough to be of service(special mention to Made and Darrama). they were informative and had plenty of suggestions of things to do or see if you were unsure of what to do.
The best part of our stay was the private room we stayed in. Our own private pool(which we made good use of), the room was huge and we loved the idea of the TV being swivel so we could watch it from the bed or the lounge. Another highlight was the bathroom which is only partly enclosed in the building, you have a view of the pool out of the side of the bathroom which makes it feel as if you are inviting outside into the bathroom, and the fountain splashing into the pool gives you a nice ambiance. The common pool also had a great feel about it and we swam there as well. The only thing I would suggest, more sun beds/sun lounges would be good as one day we went there they were all used, we still went swimming anyway.
A negative for some would be the fact that The Leaf is so far from mainstream Bali, We loved the fact, because it was so quiet, but I could see some being bothered by this. The Leaf offer a shuttle service for those that want to use it and in reality a taxi is only a phone call away. We booked a taxi to return from Kuta, which is half an hour away, and it only cost us $8.00 aud. fairly cheep compared to Australia so we didn't mind being so far away from mainstream.
All in all I would recommend The Leaf to any one that is looking for a quiet get away with your partner, where you can reconnect with each other and not be bothered by the mainstream touristy vibe that is normally associated with Bali.
Been the first time stay at The Leaf Jimbaran.
A strategic location in Jimbaran, just 12km from Ngurah Rai International Airport you will find a hidden gem in south Bali.
The ambience is so relaxing, very clean and large room, very helpful and nice staff, a tasteful dinner and breakfast menu, and they serve me a floating breakfast, this is so sick, cool!!
Once if you had a plan to stay in Bali, especially Jimbaran, this place will be in my top recommendation.
Absolutely loved our stay here. Massive comfy bed with a pillow menu. Pool was a great size for us. We stayed here knowing it was a little out of the way, we wanted fresh air and not the thick hot air you get in Legian or Seminyak. Scooter was organized for us and it was 30mins to Seminyak and 20mins to Ulawatu temple. Breakfast was great with a fresh juice or smoothie everyday. The grounds were stunning and daily activities were on offer if you wanted to attend. Highly recommend as a good value for money stay.
The place is quite good, their breakfast doesn't have many options but the taste is good.
There is rental in front of the hotel so it's easy to rent a motor bike. There is also a mini market besides the hotel.
We use the pick up from the hotel instead using airport taxi, because the hotel is quite far from the airport, we think the price would be almost the same. Turned out the vehicle from the hotel is better than airport taxi.
The road to hotel is not very good.
