Sad experience with poor service
Reviewed 6 days ago

The service does not live up to a 5 ***** hotel.

Check-in was too slow.
Although we had provided our information in advance.

When you have booked the most expensive and best room in the hotel you expect everything to be in order or it will be done immediately.

Throughout our stay we had various problems in our room.

1. There was not enough pressure on the water in the bath.
2. The water was automatically so hot, that we did not dare to bathe our children.
3. The door handle continued to fall off.
4. Room was not properly cleaned when we arrived.
5. Our minibar / fridge did not work. Don´t like hot beers.
6. The Gym in the basement was so full of mold, that you couldn't breathe down there
7. The breakfast restaurant was too cold.

The manager promised us every day (morning and afternoon) that everything would be fixet.. But nothing happened.
I even asked for a screwdriver so I could arrange the room door myself.

The night before we had to leave, the manager apologized again and made sure there was breakfast and a taxi ready for us, as we were leaving early for the airport. But the manager had forgotten to tell it to the guy in the reception. : (
However, he ordered a taxi and just before the taxi came, he found some bags with breakfast.

If you want to spend a lot of money on a good hotel, don't book here.
Find something else. SORRY

Mixed unfortunately.....

This is a nice hotel but not a 5 star, I would say more a 4 star at best. Our stay started well and staff are helpful and polite but our stay was marred by a number of disappointments for the price paid.

We had a loft room which is one of the more expensive however compared to other lower room types there is no balcony which is a shame, not quite sure the room types are in the right order though the room was clean and comfortable with nice decor. We booked this room type for the car it comes with which was a great touch and very easy to sort out. A word of warning though, you have to give this back the night before you check out so make sure you don’t need it on your last day.

The breakfast is fine though a bit underwhelming for a 5 star hotel. There is a small continental breakfast with a small cooked to order menu....fine but after a few days the choice isn’t plentiful! Stay away from the pancakes!

Hotel location is quite out the way but that’s fine, Talamanca centre is only a few mins away, maybe just a little too far to walk. You aren’t right by the sea though despite the pictures on the website....there are a good few rows of houses/apartment blocks between the hotel and the sea so it’s more of a sea glimpse than a sea view.

The main issue which ended our trip on a sour note was the courtesy room which we were offered on the last day as we had a late flight. Great idea if done well however it wasn’t. The room was very dirty, trash still there was the previous users, no toilet roll (there wasn’t even a toilet roll holder), water all over the floor in the bathroom, around the toilet and through the room itself and a used shower bar in the shower. This really wasn’t a great parting experience to leave the hotel with.

All in all the hotel is a nice property but there is a lack of focus on some of the details which spoilt the overall experience for us. Given it is meant to be a 5 star property you wouldn’t expect some of these details to be missed.

Modern and comfortable hotel

Stayed here for several days during my visit to Ibiza. It is quite modern compared to other hotels I have stayed at, a bit more business oriented. In a great location away from the business of ibiza town but close enough to everything. The staff was attentive and courteous. The vibe in the hotel could be a bit warmer, pool was a bit empty and void of people but I guess its not a party type hotel. I would stay there again.

Nice rooms, bad service
Reviewed 6 months ago

Spent 4 nights here in August. The hotel is quite hip and very clean. Rooms are well decorated with lovely furniture. The pool area is quite neat and ok to relax. Breakfast was great with lots of options although you have to wait for a while to get served as service is rather slow and not efficient. Receptionists are rather snobby and not very friendly. The location is ok as it is close to talamanca beach. If you prefer spending time in the old town, choose a hotel there.

Great place to stay in Ibiza

Was in Ibiza for a friend's wedding (aside: wedding was huge fun). One of the hotels recommended was OD Talamanca. Very happy with my choice. Modern; impeccably maintained; fantastic staff and service; super, big room with a great view and very comfortable bed (note: I was upgraded to a larger room, tho not sure why, but happy for it nonetheless); great atmosphere; great location; and nice food. And I think very good value for a luxury level hotel with breakfast included (and a very nice breakfast at that). Highly recommended, and I'll certainly be back, as Ibiza is lovely. (The picture is from my room).
