If “Nobu” makes you think dark interiors and minimalist décor, think again—this hotel embraces the Mediterranean aesthetic with vigor, bringing sunshine in through the entry atrium and using natural materials in light colors to make it very clear that you’re on vacation. Overlooking the Med and with beach access, this gleaming hotel manages to offer all the amenities of a resort: several restaurants, a spa, salon, gym, attentive service—all within easy reach of Ibiza’s nightclubs and shopping. Rooms have plenty of amenities (Nespresso machines, rainfall showers, terraces, even cocktail cabinets) and most have sea views. The service is hyper-attentive, and the smiling staff will do everything from come to your room to mix you a gin and tonic to snagging you tickets to the hottest clubs in town.
In the Area
Nobu’s smart spot on Talamanca Beach, while not the nicest beach in Ibiza, means that going for a swim doesn’t require getting into a car or bus. It’s also a short drive or 40-minute walk to the old town, a UNESCO World Heritage site that deserves at least an afternoon. Enter through the Portal de ses Taules and stroll the steep narrow streets of the historic district, stopping for the occasional ice cream or cold beer before heading back to the hotel to get ready for the night’s party. A trip to Ibiza isn’t complete without a night at Pácha, the OG Ibiza club, which is just close enough to the hotel (about a mile) that you can make it home on foot. The upscale Marina Botafoch, with its slew of high-end restaurants and boutiques, makes a good spot for dinner on the water and a little pre-gaming.
How to Get There
I took 26 men to this hotel and I must say the staff and everyone was amazing not easy looking after that many and keeping the other guest happy. Rooms are lovely with amazing view of the sea.
Food also amazing has a lot of options and caters for everyone.
It’s a great hotel if you are looking to relax with your kids as they have a family pool as well as an adults only pool.
The hotel only opened on 30th June and was already fully booked when I was there in the first week of July. It really is a WOW hotel, 2 amazing pools, lovely rooms, I had a look at at suite too and they are incredible with roof top terraces! The food is unbelievable, everything from Mexican to Mediterranean and of course Nobu which was a real highlight. The island is stunning and not just a "party island" so much to see and do, I cannot recommend this hotel and the location more highly. You can walk to the Marina in a few minutes and the old town is only half an hour away yet Talamanca Bay where the hotel is located is quiet, so you have a down tempo hotel just minutes away from the party scene if you want it.
Nobu is an oasis of modern elegance, superior service and impeccable dining of course. The hotel is stylish & beautiful & has a real wow factor on arrival. The best “feature” of the hotel is the entire team, who are all wonderful and accommodating.
We stayed in a suite which was well equipped & beautifully decorated & also has a huge terrace.
Breakfast at the hotel is the best on the island. Already looking forward to returning next year.
I went to Nobu in October 2018. It is a beautiful hotel located on the beach front and is about 5 minutes by cab to the city center. Hotel has very nice pool area and food is up to the mark.
The service at the reception is really good, we were offered a room which we did not like and immediately they changed to and upgraded room. The SPA of the hotel is a bit small as compared to other Nobu hotels.
We’ve stayed at Nobu for a long weekend for the last 2 seasons after 5 years at The Ibiza Gran.
The erratic service and various flaws can be overlooked if you value the general ambiance and beach front situation as much as we do.
Next year we have decided to go back to The Ibiza Gran due to the 200 Euro sunbed rule and the decision to significantly increase prices for 2019.
Our stay has been circa 1800 Euros for 4 nights for last 2 years and is now 2700 Euros! Add to that the 200 Euros per day if you want a bed by the main pool and it’s becoming a joke.
