How to Get There
Must say that we didn’t know what to expect but this was an amazing trip. We have stayed in a variety of hotels and, for the money, the food, service, room, pool, ease of getting to places was perfect. We will stay again if we are looking for a fun trip but will look to stay in the north for more a relaxing time
Spent a week here with wife & 3 kids aged 7, 7 & 5. We had fantastic time, rooms were clean with refilled drinks in the mini bar every day as part of the all inclusive.
The main buffet restaurant was excellent, different menu every day with plenty of staff on hand. There is also a sports bar open 24 hours which serves food and cocktails.
3 pools available including a dedicated area for kids with an activity pool and kids club next to it with a snack bar for drinks, crisps and all you can eat ice creams. The kids entertainers were excellent and ours loved spending time in the kids club and then messing around in the pool. The wife and I actually felt like we were having a break!
There was a kids disco every night and then an adult show. The shows were great quality and the staff performance of the Lion King was wonderful.
There is also the sandy beach which is a 5 minute walk from the resort.
Probably the best all inclusive I’ve been to which was made all the more special because the kids had an amazing time and didn’t want to come home.
The only negatives were a lack of parasols around the sun beds and people laying out their towels and reserving sun beds early in the morning despite the sign saying you shouldn’t do it.
I would throughly recommend that you consider this resort if you are looking for an all inclusive family resort in Ibiza, I doubt you’ll find much better.
I have just returned from a ten night stay at the Grand Palladium and in my opinion, this is definitely not a 5 star hotel. My biggest problem with the resort is that it is over crowded. The pool areas are way too busy - with beds lined up in rows so be prepared to lie centimetres apart from strangers and breathe in their smoke. On one morning, I asked a fellow guest (a French lady) to please move her bed slightly and she was very aggressive to the point security had to be called. Although nothing was done about it and she was allowed to continue shouting and swearing at me. There aren’t enough umbrellas and if you leave yours unattended, it will be stolen. I watched this happen numerous times during my stay. Also, be warned if you are taking inflatables, some lifeguards let you use them in the pool while others don’t. Very inconsistent. The other major let down is the beach. There isn’t a private hotel owned section so you have to pay extra if you want to lie on a bed with an umbrella. There is no bar or toilet to use unless you want to pay for drinks at the near by independent beach bars. But why would you do that when you’ve paid for all inclusive??? The staff at the hotel are hit and miss...some are really lovely, others I found very rude. We stayed in the White Island side of the resort and while the rooms are modern...they are very small! Be warned if your flight arrives before the official check in time at 3pm...they don’t let you in your room before then! The best thing about this hotel is the food. A great variety albeit the breakfasts in the buffet restaurants are always cold for some reason. The a la carte restaurants are really nice, great atmosphere, great service and the staff are all lovely. Bearing all of this in mind, I would not recommend this hotel and I definitely would not go back. Over priced, over crowded and under whelming.
This was my third 5* all inclusive trip this year and by far below par. To follow is an honest account of the hotel from an experienced traveller. The hotel is acceptably clean but public areas and rooms are unimpressive. Nothing about the hotel feels opulent and the service is just enough, not outstanding. The sunbeds are basic and there are not enough. Signs say no reserving, but this is not monitored by the hotel, so towels are placed and left all day by absent guests. I received the activity program on my fourth day, not too detrimental as the same handful of activities offered each day. Rooms are advertised as sound proofed, this is rubbish so you have the usual noise expected from family hotels. I emailed the hotel ahead of my stay requesting a quiet room, I was given a room with one below and one above, so the usual elephant family above, who drags and rearranges furniture constantly disturbed my stay. I also advised hotel that my flight would be in earlier than 3pm check in, but request was ignored. I had booked a garden view suite and there were a number unoccupied on my arrival day, but I was not offered one and had to wait until 3pm. My pillow was extremely old and hard, I asked for the pillow menu and was also given the additional cost! Toiletries were not restocked, I had to request them. The hotel is located furthest away from Playa D'Embosa town and has a bit 'at the end, next to the airport runway' feel, which incidentally means you see plenty of planes up close, taking off and landing. The Spa is 20 euros a day extra if you want to use it.
Now for the positives, food is extremely good, choice and variety excellent. Sports Bar serves 24hrs a day. I'm afraid that's it for the positives. This hotel is not 5* and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who enjoys high standards. Pay less and go to one of the 4* hotels, you won't be missing out.
We travelled as a family of 5, my husband and myself and three children aged 17, 20 and 23. This was to booked to celebrate our 10th Wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. We arrived very early at the hotel due to our flight leaving the UK at 6am, our rooms where not ready which we did not expect them to be. We were offered a room to get changed so that we could sit by the pool in a bit of comfort. Check in was pretty swift and our bags were put out the back until our room was ready.
We were also in time for breakfast which we took advantage of, the variety of food was absolutely fantastic.
Our rooms were ready by mid afternoon and we had requested rooms beside each other which we had, we also had a lovely view overlooking the pool.
Rooms where lovely, spacious also a mini bar in the room which is included.
The food at this hotel is probably one of the best I have ever experienced for an all inclusive resort. The variety of food each breakfast, lunch and dinner was superb. Everything from freshly made pizzas, fish, meats, salads. We did not have one bad meal the whole week we were there.
The only downside if you want to call it that was the mosquitos, I luckily escaped with three but some of the children had as many as 20 bites. I will say though partly down to their own fault as we believe they left the balcony door open. This certainly isnt something I would hold against the hotel, nor would it put me off visiting again.
Overall we had a wonderful experience and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.
