I recently visited the hotel with my family and had an amazing experience. The hotel is very charming, centrally located and features a French café with a lovely breakfast every morning as well as delicious French pastries. The rooftop is amazing. especially at sunrise and sunset and it has a pool and a lovely deck wait you can enjoy a drink and a beautiful view.

Not what we expected

In february we booked the hotel for two nights. It is not cheap, but the hotel is very nice and we liked the spacious room. The wellcome was very friendly and we got a lot of tips for sightseeing and more. At the first morning, they did not have black tea for breakfast (by the way the included breakfast was rather poor and you had to ask for everything). That can happen, that you run out of something. But on the next morning, they still had no black tea and this is not acceptable for a hotel like this. There is a Oxxo supermarket just a few minutes away.
On the next day we had no drinking water in our room and we complained that and asked the reception to fill it up. After dinner there was still no water in our room and the young lady at the reception acted angry, when we asked again.
We spent our days in the included Beach Club, which is very beautiful. On the second evening we watched the sunset there from the beach. In the meantime, they closed the Beach Club, nobody told us (it was just our car which was parking there) and locked the street a few minute away with a chain. We could not get out from the place, it was too far for walking and it was already dark. A nightmare!
When we left and payed our bill, we told all this things the lady from the reception (one of the owners?). But we only got a lot of so sorry, but we do not think that will change anything. What a shame for such a nice hotel. It would not need much to make the service better, but I am not sure, if they want.

A spectacular historic boutique hotel in the heart of Todos Santos

We only had one night at the beautiful Guaycura Hotel but were able to arrange a late checkout to maximize our minutes there. Janine of the hotel staff couldn't have been kinder. She arranged VIP parking for me directly in front of the hotel entrance and had her night watchman look after my totally open 1971 Land Cruiser FJ40. After dropping our bags, we ran up to their lovely rooftop bar to catch the sunset, take in the magnificent view and have a drink. The bartender shared some local drinking and dining locales. As it was a Monday in January, there were a number of restaurants that were closed, but we followed his tips and had a fun night eating and drinking around town.

All was well in the morning, our Land Cruiser was right where we left it and nothing had been disturbed. We went out for breakfast and then headed over to check out the Guaycura's beach property; the El Faro Beach Club and Spa, which was just South of town. The beach club was spectacular and we would've loved to spend some time there but the Baja XL Rally waits for nobody so we returned to the Guaycura Hotel loaded up and headed out for the next stop. Thanks, Yolanda, thanks Janine, thanks Guaycura Hotel -we look forward to our next visit!

Wonderful to come back to the hotel!

After visiting Todos Santos and the Guaycura Hotel in 2015, it was a treat to come back this spring. The staff was equally welcoming and Janine, the concierge, is a gem and a fountain of knowledge. We stayed in a large suite with a balcony seating, but spent every evening up at the rooftop bar to watch the sunset. Don't forget to try the Guaycura Margarita (with Damiana).

Loved it
