How to Get There
There's something special about Valle de Guadalupe, and Encuentro really is an amazing destination to find peace and solitude. The rooms are minimalist without TVs or room service sitting right in the middle of the natural desert landscape.
Go if you want to enjoy some peace and quiet in natural surroundings with great food and relaxing vibes
Don't go if you want that US resort style trip with frozen margaritas and pizza hut delivering
Hotel rooms are tired, small and very basic-food is amazing.
I have no problem paying for a nice hotel this was super over priced for what it was
The breakfast at the pool was AMAZING and the dinner in their restaurant superb
My wife and I just stayed here. We chose it for its views and uniqueness to the valle. We were greeted before we made it to the front and welcomed with Sangria. The pool and hot tub were great and had quite the views. The restaurant at the pool was great and service was great. You have to use a shuttle to get everywhere so we asked to be picked up at the pool. Well, we were forgotten about and a worker took us back in his truck. Also, our key never worked for our room and had to have them open our door every time. For over $300/night I would expect a little more or even to have an apology for both inconveniences. Great place, but for the price there are other options in the valle
Great views but is too close to the road...rooms and pool are amazing!!Great food and surroundings!!
By night is really lovely to see the stars, room service can be faster and if the pool would be warmer would be perfect
The views are incredible, the staff really helpfull, but the rooms are icecold at night, as the heating or aircon does not work. It is also strictly forbidden to bring food or beverages from outside to the rooms, but there is no room service and only 1 bottle of water. basically you will be dehydrated. Our windows could not close, so it was extremely cold at night. Basically you are forced to eat all your meals at the pool restaurant, or the main restaurant, unless you drive somewhere else. The internet is buggy, and not stable. Now haven written that, the food is incredible. The Wine is super, and the views are unbeatable. So? we had a good time, but this place really needs some maintanence. Oh and also. there was a building site nearby, so all dreams of listening to birds and quiet, were interrupted by the romantic sounds of sledgehammering.
