Great service! Front desk staff is amazing! Set me up for roses and balloons last minute phone call. Easy drive to ensenada and wine country! Tip the staff and they will take care of you! Nice pool and view

A trip down memory lane

We used to come here twice a year when our children were young and we have a lot of fond memories. The views are simply amazing.
We used the spa and though small and limited, the treatments was great.
The restaurant was a hit and miss, i had the most amazing caesar salad prepared table-side, but the rest of the menus and quality of preparation (including breakfast) need to improve.
Another thing we noticed is that the service has somewhat declined. Most staff (particularly restaurant) were very helpful and kind, but sometimes efficiency prioritized kindness. An easy fix with some training.
We were not thrilled at check-in, we felt more like a nuisance than anything else.
There are more tips for ownership so they know what they need to fix, overall, it is an amazing place and the best view money can buy. Highly recommend it

Seriously overpriced and smelly - Avoid!

Stayed here for 1 night in December whilst travelling through the Baja. The hotel is right on the highway north of Ensenada and has a fabulous setting right on the coast with the waves crashing in. Good parking for cars and the grounds and pool are well kept. That,s about it for good stuff!

The rooms are old and very dated. The only thing they have going for them are the fabulous view. Bathroom was very small with a trash can actually wedged in beside the toilet because it was so small. The sink drain stank of sewer smell, but the plug did not work, I had to reach down underneath the sink to pull the lever for the plug. Only one bedside light worked! The towels were old, worn out and grey! They badly needed replacing. The place is just not being kept up. At night you can hear trucks going by all night long! All this for $150 US dollars a night! You quickly realize it's a big rip off! We stayed in much better places along the coast for $50. I would not go back here. Not recommended by Oldbackpack.

Best deal in Baja

Best Thanksgiving getaway! Not only was this a great oceanfront room at a great price, but the restaurant is also very good at reasonable prices. It was a great off-season getaway. Not far from the action in town, but far enough to feel like you are in a private place. It was quite romantic with the waves crashing against the castle-like walls that shield you from the sea. The hot tuba nd pool are well positioned to enhance your stay. The staff were great and even with some construction were very courteous to minimize the effects of that construction where it was almost invisible to guests.

The breakfast, which is served with an ocean view started out with sweet rolls that were out of this world.

Breakfast by the sea. We started out with some fresh complimentary pastries that were out of this world. chilaquiles with green sauce where excellence as were the chili rellenos. We stopped by to check out the hotel and it looks beautiful. We plan on coming back in a couple weeks to stay.
