Best deal in Baja

Best Thanksgiving getaway! Not only was this a great oceanfront room at a great price, but the restaurant is also very good at reasonable prices. It was a great off-season getaway. Not far from the action in town, but far enough to feel like you are in a private place. It was quite romantic with the waves crashing against the castle-like walls that shield you from the sea. The hot tuba nd pool are well positioned to enhance your stay. The staff were great and even with some construction were very courteous to minimize the effects of that construction where it was almost invisible to guests.

The breakfast, which is served with an ocean view started out with sweet rolls that were out of this world.

Breakfast by the sea. We started out with some fresh complimentary pastries that were out of this world. chilaquiles with green sauce where excellence as were the chili rellenos. We stopped by to check out the hotel and it looks beautiful. We plan on coming back in a couple weeks to stay.

My husband and I stayed here 10/2/18 thru 10/4/18 and it was beautiful! Rooms face the ocean which you can hear all night and day! The food there was excellent for dinner and breakfast! Excellent home made sweet pastries in the morning! The infinity pool is beautiful but I didn't get a chance to jump in! The waiters were top notch, all in all it was a beautiful stay!

Wonderful experience from start to finish

We started out without expectation and pulled into the parking lot of Las Rosas a few hours before check in on a Thursday afternoon. While our room wasn't available, we were still able to take advantage of the facilities and we parked ourselves on plush lounge chairs in front of an infinity pool that overlooks the ocean. It took all of three seconds to realize that we wanted to spend as much time here as possible. We were immediately waited on by very attentive staff and management, who took care of our every wish/desire while there. The hospitality just exceed all expectations.

We checked in shortly after check in time and were very surprised that EVERY room as an Ocean view. Now, while we had a basic room, it did not disappoint, it was exactly as described- King bed, Ocean View. No frills necessary as we already decided we would be poolside all weekend.

After our first meal at the hotel (dinner), we decided that we didn't want to go anywhere else to eat as the food was PHENOMENAL. The ambience, the service (MARIO- you were amazing), the food, the music from the lounge, the ocean views from the dining room- all made for a wonderful experience. Definitely check out the Sunday brunch, it is worth the few extra dollars- they put on quite a spread.

Lastly, the grounds are gorgeous- from the walk along the wall bordering the ocean, to the multiple stairs that lead to the ocean, to the jacuzzi- we just found that no matter where we explored in Ensenada, we always wanted to race back to the hotel and relax.

We cannot wait to return... thank you Las Rosas for a wonderful experience (Mario, Manual, Alex, Diego and all the Staff- you were all amazing!!).

Sour service and sweet margaritas
Reviewed 4 months ago

I was attracted to this hotel because of the views and the pictures. This will not disappoint. The food is also good. However, our room, because of the proximity to the roads, is LOUD. Trucks and sirens driving over the freeway are incredibly alarming from our room.

What does severely lack is the customer service. As someone who works in tourism, I seek places that are welcoming and helpful. I don’t need bend over backwards help, but I don’t want to feel like a nuisance. On arrival at 1:45pm after an incredibly arduous ride, we were greeted with an empty front desk. After the bellhop called for front desk, they did not greet us, only stomped out and told us checkin is at 3pm (without even checking their system.) There was not even an hola! :(

The front desk woman did not direct us to the restaurant, pool, or bar and only after asking did she agree to take my luggage to hold. She also refused to check me in at that time telling me to come back later to complete the paperwork.

Lunch was tasty but soooo slow to get simple drinks and food (ate fast but food to paying was almost 1.5 hrs.). Don’t order a margarita unless you like lots of sourmix :)

We did checkin about 3:15pm but our king room reserved for two was only set for one and we had to request more bath towels. It’s also a rather small room and super small bathroom.

I later came back asking for advice on where to find a nearby haircut but had only another resort made as a suggestion.

Most recently, I came back asking about an upgrade but was casually told to come back tomorrow. Every other room has a bigger balcony and seems to have more space and we were willing to pay for this. There is hardly anyone here and since it is a weekday, I thought this might be doable, alas, I was sent away without answers.

I hope our stay can be enjoyable and I know we will enjoy the views, but I have to say the original greeting truly set a sour tone to the service and that has persisted throughout.
