How to Get There
This hotel offers a wonderful set-up, traditional, very stylish and a wonderful park/garden with lot's of relax options and of course charming rooms (depending on the category) and you pay the price for this beauty.
There is absolutely no service available throughout the day. We have been sent back and forth as we wanted to get a coffee first and the lady at the reception said, oh no please go on the other side and pick the first entry (cottage style restaurant) as the 2nd restaurant part is only open after 12pm. Good we went as per instruction and were sent back from the service lady in this restaurant. Then we waited while one waitress came and didn't even know about the opening hours/service availability. Folks, we wanted to have a great family lunch and spend money in this house but felt like importunate beggars......and left (again).
A wonderful hotel with a fantastic surrounding. The employees are friendly neat and formal. A good choice also for families with children. There is a pool and a golf park around the corner. We went there with the whole family many many years all together and always were completely satisfied. Thank you
We treated ourselves to a really special experience. We loved the location of the hotel, its old fashioned feel, the modern wellness complex, the wonderful breakfast , the opportunity to dine outside for all meals, the lovely meals, excellently trained staff, comfortable and spacious bedrooms, etc etc. The surrounding park is beautifully kept and invites you to stay on the site. Only one point of criticism, when I requested an iron and ironing board, they referred me to their ironing and laundry service. This was rather pricey, unfortunately. Also whilst being welcomed with a little cake and sparkling water, there were no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room.
We just spent two days at this property and were sad that our stay was not much, much longer. We were greeted warmly with a welcome drink, then shown to our lovely room with a view of the sprawling grounds. We immediately hiked through the property, a manicured park of flowers, herbs, sculptures, fountains, seating areas and resident deer, ducks and swan. At night, all you hear are soft sounds from the animals.
The staff was so friendly, never stuffy. Manager Hajo seemed always present running a smooth operation, yet taking time to talk with us about the area, the country, etc. they say it’s not a large hotel, but there are beautiful, welcoming rooms in all buildings and outdoors. We got a good WIFi signal in nearly every area.
They included a huge breakfast buffet which was far better than many other European hotels offer. I especially liked the local honey served in the comb! I enjoyed my birthday cake, a large Black Forest slice, in the charming “ Diva” gazebo restaurant. Perfect!
This is a bit of a splurge, but discounts are offered through direct booking. With your stay, you are given a Black Forest card which allows free transportation, discounts and specials through the region.
I can recommend a stay here with no hesitation! It is a feast for the senses. Spa and fitness enthusiasts will also enjoy the amenities. Our sincere thanks for a lovely time!
The hotel is placed alongside the famous ski jumping area. Free parking is available. The personnel of the reception incl. the porter was very attentive and service minded - as in general the personnel gave a very service minded impression. The design and domestic equipment is somewhere old-fashioned and corny, reminding the good old times of noblesse - there are many people who might like this but is not my favorite. The former original Adler though is nicely refurbished with modern rooms - just taller people to watch out the height of 2 m!
A nice spa area invites to spend time and relax. Areas for smaller kids to play inside and outside are available - though families are not the main clientel of the hotel.
The breakfast buffet is just great - everyone can do scrambled eggs but such a delicious bread is not easy to find.
And finally, the parkhotel actually has a nice park! And if you like to take a longer walk or hike, hiking routes to the surrounding mountains can be accessed from the hotel.
