How to Get There
Our 6th time here and it is forever enjoyable. The service, the rooms, the ambience, the team - every aspect was excellent. Thank you again for a wonderful 4 nights. We could choose to change our hotel each march we come to Heidelberg however we can't separate from the superb experience - relaxing, warm, opulent and memorable.
A well located boutique Hotel, 5 minutes walk from the old town and all its attractions. Extremely well appointed, with nice, helpful staff. Great beds. Extras while there (minibar, etc) aren't cheap, but you're not going to be staying at a hotel like this if you're bothered about that. Indeed, each room has a little kitchenette, which enables you to look after yourself to a certain extent. Would stay here again.
Loved this hotel. The staff running the hotel, Ingrid and Maria, were great getting me the room I wanted before we arrived. I had read that room 9 was great but it was booked. We were given suite 18, which was more expensive but wonderful with a balcony facing the river and a view of the city and castle. I was worried that the noise on the street would be loud, but they have good windows and street noise wasn't a problem. Loved having a real queen bed, and not two twins pushed together. Once we arrived Ingrid and Maria were wonderful giving us all the insider tips on best places to eat and what to see. The hotel is located on the river, across the main bridge into old town. It is an easy beautiful walk into town. They also set us up on a tour of the city with Andreas Reimelt, who is a local retired lawyer who gave us all the interesting history of Heidelberg. He took us on a combination walking/golf cart tour which was a great way to see the town and castle. The hotel is also right next door to the entrance to the Philosopher's walk, which is a steep walk on a hill overlooking the city. Great views and good exercise. Great restaurant with authentic local German food and helpful waiter, recommended by hotel, is Zur Alten Brücke. It right over the bridge in Old Town. We also went to a high end restaurant down from the castle, Herrenmüle. Very special. We were lucky and had good weather in February. Plan to return to Heidelberg!
I recently traveled to Heidelberg, Germany to attend a company board meeting. We were set up in the Heidelberg Suites. The place is located on the river that runs thru Heidelberg. It’s a ten to twelve minute walk to the historic part of the city. The Heidelberg suites is a charming old home that has been converted into a hotel. My room was spacious and comfortable. It was the service, however, that sets this place apart. On my second day there I fell ill. The front desk manager went into action. Her name was Ingrid. She helped my wife locate a pharmacy to bring me some medication. She then helped us order chicken soup from an outside restaurant. She stayed focused on our needs until she was certain she had done all that she could do for us. She even gave us recommendations for restaurants in Rome, Italy which was our next destination. We could not have been more satisfied with the amazing customer service. We recommend the Heidelberg Suites without hesitation.
This is a unique place for the hotel with a great view on old town. Rooms are nicely decorated, all necessary facilities are there. Staf is very nice. Manager Maria was very friendly and helpful. Place is very close to everywhere. Parking is a minus, 25 euro per night is a bit too much for the hotel. Breakfast is good for that price. Like this place a lot!
