Location,, staff and property all outstanding!

Stayed here while visiting Heidelberg. Hotel is on the river and a short walk to old town Heidelberg, restaurants, the castle, the university. Staff was wonderfully accommodating and when I asked to have milk in my room that evening it was there when I returned to my room from dinner. Property is a beautifully kept up older mansion. I highly recommend!

Great Heidelberg hotel!

We visited Heidelberg and stayed in the Boutique Hotel Heidelberg Suites for 3 nights in October. We stayed in a Deluxe Apartment. It was a super cute room, with a charming style, sort-of a cross between traditional and modern. It was very clean. We were able to check in at 3pm. They stored our bags for us as we had arrived earlier, which was really nice. They even brought our bags up to our room for us while we were out walking around, which was so nice. The bed was the most comfortable bed, by far, that we had on our 2-week trip (we stayed in 6 different hotels). There was a rare heat-wave going on while we were there, so the room had an air conditioning unit that we used. You did have to open the window and stick the a/c exhaust hose outside, but the a/c worked great. The street was very quiet, so noise was not an issue at all. The shower was nice, however they give you a very small pane of glass as your shower curtain/partition, which wasn't quite big enough to contain the water. That seems to be pretty common in Europe though (not sure why they don't just enclose the shower or provide a longer glass partition). My only major complaint is that the bath towels were about as big as hand towels, which was really weird, and they were very hard and scratchy. Definitely time to upgrade the towels. Otherwise, the room was great, and everyone we met from the hotel staff was extremely nice and courteous. We had breakfast at the hotel one morning and it was absolutely delicious!! It kindof reminded me of a British high-tea, but with breakfast items. There were a variety of breads, jams, cheeses, meats, eggs, fruits, pastries, yogurt parfaits, etc. that they provided on a 3-tiered serving dish. It was so good, and so much fun. The breakfast room was also very nicely decorated. The hotel was a 15 minute walk to old town. Our room had a nice view of the Heidelberg Castle (Schloss). Highly recommend this hotel.
