Great value for money in the heart of Canberra

Great value for money in the heart of Canberra. Close to all the key localities in the Civic area, and a short walk or ride over the bridge to the parliamentary zone. Great restaurant in the lobby. Absence of gym and pool are the only let downs.

Excellent bed but tired rooms
Reviewed 6 days ago

I was very excited to try a QT Hotel given the brand has an excellent reputation. However, whilst the rooms have some of the quirky touches the brand is known for, the rooms have tired, chipped paintwork and very old air-conditioning which struggles in the west facing rooms. The positives - our room was large, the nespresso machine and T2 teas were lovely and the beds were beautifully soft. The negatives were having to have our keycard recoded every day because it ceased to work every evening, poor water pressure in the shower and the expensive parking ($25/day). Overall, a good hotel at the right price but shop around - there are better value hotels in Canberra.

Funky feel, well thought out rooms

Staying for a conference at ANU. Love the quirky design and room features at QT Canberra. Staff generally friendly but we made their heads spin by asking to have a light dinner on the terrasse, fortunately, logic prevailed after some discussion and they could take the 10 steps from the restaurant door to the outdoor table so that we could take advantage of a lovely evening. Breakfast is very good.

One night stay

We are a family of four that stayed for one night for a wedding that was being celebrated in the ballroom there. The function was wonderful and so organised. James the function coordinator was very helpful when I enquired about kids food for the wedding. The rooms were beautiful, clean and had a well stocked mini bar. Front desk staff were also extremely helpful, friendly and polite. I would stay here again.
