How to Get There
Whole experience from check in to departure, rooms, meals and facilities are excellent. Also love the merchandise available in room, very quirky! Have stayed in many hotels in Canberra and this represents the best value for money.
The staff here are incredible. Sapphire at the front desk was so helpful and I couldn’t recommend QT Canberra higher ! We had a few strange requests and nothing was a problem. Rooms are great too. Very funky.
Thanks so much guys.
Anna, a waitress at the restaurant received a 10/10! Fantastic customer service, very friendly, always checking up on us to see how we were going and very informative. Will definitely be back and hope to see Anna again :)
This used to be the Rydges Lakeside recently refurbished and taken over by the funky boutique line QT. Expect some left over hardware: slightly aged bathroom, walls etc. Room was spacious and bedding comfy enough for a couple of nights. Nothing top notch but within expectation.
Location is fantastic. Close to ANU and the city centre. Being on the circuit means you have access to all the wonderful bars and restaurants catered to Canberra’s bureaucrats. The restaurant on the ground floor seemed pretty nice too, but we didn’t try it.
Staff provided acceptable level of professionalism and service. For some reason the concierge was never attended by more than 2, so either it’s never busy or they just didn’t care. Being a boutique chain, this never bothered us though. I asked for a corner room to be further away from the noisy elevator and the request was granted.
All factors considered, a decent option for a couple nights. Canberra’s home scene is not known for competition so I can’t imagine much better options in this price range.
Our stay in QT Canberra was great except for the TV location which was on the left side if you’re lying on the bed. You’ll have to face on the left side to watch. I loved using the shampoo and shower gel. A lot of good cafes and restaurants nearby.
